cheap	2.8 Rivertowne Classic Kickback Lemon Lager Can, 1$ off the clearance rack at JR's. Nice foamy pour on clear pale yellow. Nose is certainly lemon forward. Taste is lemon peel intensive, maybe some lemon pledge in there too. At first its hard to pick out the beer in this. Good level of co2. In the, middle I think I'm starting to get some lager in there. Towards the finish, it doesn't really have any ill attributes except for that lemon peel pledge thang. Pretty good overall beer tasting experience. Could drink another can. Not bad. BTW, this should be styled as a flavored beer, not a straight up pale lager, fer sher. Although its lemon, it certainly is not a shandy. Tuesday, December 12, 2023

Drjohnrock	2.9 Rivertowne Poolside Peaches Twelve ounce can from a mixed 6 pack bought at McNeilly's Beer, 6 Packs And More in Pittsburgh PA, tasted on July 1, 2023. And I thought Rivertowne was out of business. They used to have distribution in Cincinnati. As it turns out, their assets were bought at a bankruptcy sale by Helltown Brewing, which continues to put out Rivertowne brews. In any event, this beer, which I saw all over Pittsburgh, has a hazy yellow hue and medium bittersweet flavor that's a bit watery with the peach taste being a tad too light. Not a beer to go out of your way for, but as a hot weather quaffer, it's a bit better than Rhinegeist Lawnchair Hotrod. Sunday, July 2, 2023

FROTHINGSLOSH	2.1 Rivertowne Wild Apple Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel color with a trace off white head that left lacing. The aroma was musty and grainy with a bit of apple. The flavor was tart, musty, earthy, grainy and off with a green apple note. Long finish. Medium body and undercarbonated. Sunday, March 17, 2019
ganache	3.1 Rivertowne / Sly Fox Glove Dropper Blood Orange IPA Pint can. Nose heavy resin and blood orange, peel and juice, some lemon and mild caramel. Pour clear orange with a tight and soapy off-white head, lace. Taste medium-strong bitter but not shockingly so, lightly tangy from the acidic citrus, dryish and drying with resin and some grit. The actual citrus flavor turns the mouth a bit but nothing's rancid; medium body, touch of herbal spice, leans slightly tropical, slight hint of potpourri. cheap	1.9 Rivertowne Zeke’s Coffee Brown Ale From a can. Pour is an eye of cream soda Lots of visual bubbling going on there. Smell is metal and malt. Taste is stronger feeling sweeter vienna er sumthin. Yes, lots of dark beer impressions on the palate. Perhaps a little more cloying than it should be. cheap	1.2 Rivertowne Float Trip IPA From a can looks like it came from wegmans, chitauqua in the summer, well no; now I see its from a recent market district trip. Slight haze on clear. First impression is shattering rubbery bitterness so common in many IPA. Is there a diesel in there? You know, like the dank fuel you smell at the green pump at sheetz? Does seem like it has more alky than listed here. It also has some of that astringent green fresh cut veggie thing going on, yah know, like you feel in a highly hopped session IPA. Big bold and in yer face, yes typical ubiquitous happy BS IPA. Forget about pale lager, the new macro is IPA! Rude azz-mah-fah. Yea, just another ubiquitous crafto IPA. cheap	1.6 Rivertowne Suburban Housewife So I have to go to ohio to find a locally brewed beer? What gives? $2 Can, darker than pale. Cloudy. Taste is nothing like kolsch. It a veggie spice beer.
