The bottles I have had haven’t been very dry, almost no funk, were way too malty and seemed somewhat oxidized. This was extremely disappointing as Orval is one of my favorite beers ever. I have seen August 2014 bottles around lately. Anyone have any experience with those?

Message harrisoni P beers 25416 º places 68 º 12:18 Tue 8/25/2015 Had to go to 2 different shops today, but ended up with another 16 bottles. More or less cleared the shelf of the supermarket. It means I’m back up over 60 bottles again, phew. Mind you these ones are fresh, July 2015 so I won’t be breaking into them for another 7 months at least. That’s the problem with Orval, getting enough at the right time to ensure you have a steady supply of Orval in your own personal sweet spot.
