I picked up some Arcadia Shipwreck Porter (wax-dipped 12oz. bottles, $5.50.ea.) at Royal yesterday, Brad said it just showed up that same day.

I saw La Face Cachée Pomme de la Neige Premiere for the first time in KC, at the liquor store on 95th and Mission.

I think it was $35 for a 375mL bottle.

It’s in Missouri and Kansas too, outside of Central State’s distribution. The word is 1/30 or 1/31 here. I’ll be in Twin Cities next weekend so hopefully they’ll get it early too and I can avoid the commotion.

Low $30’s for a 375ml. I bought one in Lawrence a year or two ago to split with the wife for our anniversary, since she loves it. For just myself, that is pretty pricy, although wonderful stuff.

Did you see the BYO or Zymurgy article on ice cider? Pretty clever technique. The problem around here is juice. The orchards that juice are doing exclusively or almost exclusively dessert apples.
