Is Bear Roots selling beer to drink on premise yet? Certainly looks like it from the facebook page. Can I go there and tick it as a brewery? |
Heading to Lost Abbey to get Veritas tomorrow. Here’s the itinerary if anyone wants to meet along the way: |
Originally posted by t0rin0 Yes I went last weekend. Small place but kind of cool. They had 4 beers on. I had a Nelson pale that was OK. |
Lost Abbey was surprisingly calm at 11. New Veriras is exactly what you expected: Cable Car culture with blackberries. |
Homebrew Co might be the winner for the new ones today. Not amazing but decent all around. Despite being in a homebrew shop they have a 7 bbl system allegedly. |
Originally posted by t0rin0Thanks for posting. We were up hiking Palomar Mountain today and stopped by Valley Center Brewery. They are certainly hit or miss. They had 9 different sours on tap - they leave beer in a barrel outside for at least 12 months. Two of them were cheese bombs. |
Mostly miss |
From what I hear (and the internet confirms) Pac City in Pacoima is dead and gone. Not sure if he ever really sold any beer. No tasting room and he only had one or two accounts. |
Pacific Beach Alehouse had the fire, but they are back up and running. I believe OB Brewing is going to open Memorial Day weekend, and is owned by the people of Newport Pizza and Alehouse. |
Originally posted by t0rin0Agreed; I tried them once last June and figured on giving them another try since I was driving right by but that may be my last stop. |
