Funknmilla	0.8 Victory Juicy Monkey 12 oz can to glass. Starts off with a golden color no head....mandarin orange and pineapple on the sniff mixed with the smell of heavy syrup from canned peaches. Then it all goes horribly wrong. Mixing hops just makes this a bitter uncomfortable swallow. The fruit is similar to something I left in the fridge too long. Whatever sweetness there may have been in this Tripel it's gone, gone, gone - and the same goes for whatever hops. CloakedDagger	2.9 Victory Juicy Monkey Can 35,5 cl. Pours deep golden with a slight haze and a small, rough, white head. Peachy, apricotty aroma - or even more pineapple -I have a feeling of artificial flavoring. Label reads "Natural flavors" which could be anything really. Rich, fruity body with a slight sweetness. And then a brutal and clashing bitterness rounds off the whole thing. The nose promises sweet fruit pop and the finish gives you chokingly bitterness. DraftDodger	3.7 Victory DirtWolf Double IPA Copenhagen 13/4 2024. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Blue and green can with hybrid of a snarling wolf and the flower of the hop plant. Pours clear golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a 5 cm thick layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Massive lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fermented odor of tropical fruits mingling with a citric scent. Overripe mango and passion fruit. Grapefruit and lemon. Whiff of metallic alcohol. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. jwil	2.6 Victory Koffee Kake Ale Golden on the pour. Sweet cake on the nose. Nominal head. Medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. Finish is decently long and you can pick up some of those coffee cake notes. A bit of streusal. There's a mild amount of bitterness that counteracts the potentially saccharine dominance. Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and fizzy texture. Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger tart, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is tart. Lingers for a bit. cheap	1.1 Victory Koffee Kake Ale Bottle from market district, pours clear pale. Sweet volatile smell of cake, I wonder why. This BTW, is not a blonde ale nor a golden ale, it is a pastry. I can't figger out how those who enter brews can't ID the style. To call this a golden ale is like calling an IPA an american cheap pale lager, hehehh. Yea, lots of sweetness on this, actually really cloying. So sweet I almost can't tolerate it, but hey, I can't tolerate these stupid ass pastry beers anyhow. So there you have it, another beer that ain't truly a beer; its s silly worthless sweet something that makes no sense to the real beer taster. In the end, this is so sweet and so unbearable, I think I may do the drain pour. However, I can't think of any other beer I drain poured after almost 9K beers, so I won't. I will drink and live with this sweet cloying bomb, like any other pastry brew that calls itself a beer, hehehehh WTF. Saturday, March 16, 2024

A fairly strange version of a Golden Monkey on the can hiding its features with its paws and sporting a big eye instead of a belly button. Pours clear golden amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as 0,1 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, slightly sugary, malty odor mingling with yeasty notes and a whiff of alcohol. Sweet pale malts, white sugar and orange. Banana. Metallic alcohol. Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness bordering on being sugary followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy touch. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry. Color is a medium golden orange. Definite tartness up front but not sure I would say it was from the cherries. Earthy and herbal hops flavors, bitter salad greens, dry roasted grains, light orange peel, honey and some unripe pineapple. Light alcohol presence and warming. The taste follows the nose: Strong cinnamon-forward flavor with the bakery cake and vanilla flavor in the finish. Gimmicky, yes, but well done. Smooth and clean. The 6.0% ABV is undetectable.
