biilz	4.1 Westbrook Mexican Cake Imperial Stout - Bourbon Barrel (2015) Шоколад на аромате, немного какао бобов и кофе, намеки на сливу, немного сухости и жженки. Цвет черный, угольный, пенка тонкая, кофейная. Вкус на удивление простой, шоколад, какао бобы, но после глотка начинается легкое жжение от перца, оно весьма продолжительное и в целом приятно так как не сильно отстрое. Flavor presents cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, hops, tangy and sweet orange and pineapple. Texture yields nice body and lively fizz. Say what you will about pumpkin spice - I for one love it. Pinball	3.7 Westbrook Jaune Bottle, bottled june 2017 opened february 2024 super awesome sweet belgian strong ale aroma with citrussy funky notes, apricot, refreshing malty booziness, even the phenolic notes are super well integrated, this has seemingly benefitted tremendously by staying in the bottle for a number of years. flavor is sweet almonds, malts, apricot, overripe and dried yellow fruits, somewhat oxidized, quite sweet, far from as pleasing than the aroma. sweet malty belgian ale with very clear notes from the barrelling, wood and booze is strong in this one. While it is very sweet it also appears very dry at the same time, which is a bit weird. Flavor changed taste from 6 to 7 after having sipped more of the bottle, it grows on you. geologyguy	3.3 Westbrook Guava Shake IPA 2/24/22 Smells of guava decent strength...flavor is kinda unique...guava of course, and you'd think it'd be a little on the sweeter side, but the paired hops are pretty strong and gives a uniquely complex sweet and bitter taste together... different, and didn't really like it so much at first but it's growing on me...solid mouthfeel...Had at WeCo biergarten for lunch as pandemic still carries on amongst the unvaxxed with 940k US deaths...omicron varient seems to be fizzling out.... I even got it from Megan a month or so ago, but was triple vaxxed and it was pretty much nothing Monday, January 22, 2024

colui72	4.7 Westbrook Mexican Cake Imperial Stout - Maple Syrup Coffee My birthday treat today, and possibly my last beer of 2023: Imperial stout with cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon, habanero, coffee beans and aged in maple bourbon barrels (2020) Very aromatic indeed, the room-filler type, with cake, cinnamon, vegetable, maple syrup, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Black, thick pour, moderate beige head with low retention and no lacing. Sweet, never sickening, low roast character, a lot of cake, cinnamon (mild), habanero (medium heat and building up), coffee, milk chocolate, maple syrup, bourbon (clean, no harsh wood). Delicious. Lingering heat, which to me is a blessing. Thick body, nearly no carbonation, alcohol without heat. A wonderful treat, picked carefully for this day as I love Mexican Stouts. Happy new year, folks! Dorwart	3.3 Westbrook Low and Slow Maibock About a 1 inch thick head of off-white bubbles of varying size with light carbonation. Malty aroma with some honey, cereal grains, sweet malts, whole wheat bread and salt. Color is a clear medium gold. More sweet malts and honey in the flavor. Biscuits, and lemon peel along with some herbal spruce. Light alcohol presence. A bit cloying and pasty on the palate. Finished kind of dry and pasty with lingering lemon and malts.
