3.5 Hudson Valley Wickson Bottle from Flatiron Wines. Though you could easily aquire this from any farmer's market in which Breezy Hill is attending around the city. Unique, rounded, corked bottle. Back label is upside down. DFH rounded pint glass. Large smokescreen of foam that fills the glass & disappears even quicker. Clear straw gold body. Smells of bubble gum, green bananas, white wine & acidic apples. Tastes of gum, aspartame without the sweetness, & very strong florals, like if you'd kissed the cheek of someone with a little too much on. Continuing, there is menthol, light yeast, bitter greens, mellow sulfites & it is all quite acidic & bubbly. Tougher then the 6.9% ABV on the label. This venture into cider making has grown from an amateur curiosity to something worth trying. Glad they are succeeding despite the limited shelf space. Thursday, July 4, 2019

2.5 Hudson Valley Farmhouse Cider Flaske, 75 cl, hos Yespr. Super flot designet label. Meget lys, næsten vandigt udseende med minimalt skum. Dufter mildt af gærede æbler. Smager også mildt, mild frugtsødme, ikke meget farmhouse over hverken duft eller smag. Anonym. Saturday, February 1, 2014

Savignon Blanc & a bit of pear. Tastes of soft table wine. Decent tannins. Delicate/subtle creamy apple flavor. Still & pretty dry. Mellow alcohol(I think the cider maker said it came in somewhat over 7%). Bland, but sloshable. Tuesday, October 30, 2012

3.5 Hudson Valley Farmhouse Cider Available at the Union Square Farmer’s Market on draft & in pre-filled growlers($18). Edit for a second time: Yet another batch. Started out the same ole, but once the sediment was stirred up, wow, juicy, bright, red delicious, nourishing. abv seems lower. That amateur sharp homebrewed taste seems to have worked its way out of the recipe. Scrumpy-ish. Not overly sophisticated, but super chuggable. Edit: New Batch is a bit paler, like pear juice. Smell has been throttled, & the ongoing fermentation has left this one tasting pretty dry & floral. Acid is much lower, no measurable tartness. No longer thick & homey as it was(though still unfiltered). Amazed at how popular this one was. Must be the generous 3-4oz samples they give out. overall: 2.1 --- Yellow/brown, murky/unfiltered appearance. Smell is floral & sharp, still fermenting apples. Taste is very sweet for 7%. Zesty, turned eating apples. Vinegary. Mashed texture. Moderately high acidity & tartness. Basic. Overall: 2.4 Wednesday, July 25, 2012
