2.9 Draught House Underdog Chalky brown appearance. Big tan head is because if the obnoxious etched glasses DraughtHouse is STILL using despite numerous complaints from regulars. Aroma is very roasty malt. It’s hard to taste the flavor past all that artificial foam created by these etched glasses. So I’ve had it. Monday, July 18, 2016

3.3 Draught House Smoked Weisse On tap at the brewpub. Poured a hazy dark gold with a creamy, smooth, off-white head. Nose is clove, phenols, and smoke; the typical tropical fruit is there, but greatly subdued. On the tongue, it works; while it’s kind of a copout to say ’smoked spiced banana’, that’s really where it went. It was a logical merging of the two flavors. I wanted more smoke, but I always want more smoke. Finish was drier than most weissbiers. I liked it. Saturday, July 9, 2016

2.9 Draught House Funkhouser Stout Draft at the source. Assuming this is a sour stout from the name. The nose would seem to confirm these suspicions-- black cherry blends with roasted nuts and a soft layer middle layer of milk chocolate. The flavor recreates this, though bitter, burnt roast is more prominent, overlapping a haylike, barnyardy funk at the sip’s initiation and dry, tannic finish. Silky medium body; CO2 is a bit high and prickly. A little too farmhouse-dry for my tastes; becomes tiring about halfway through the glass. Thursday, April 28, 2016
