Tmoney99	3.8 Coronado / Pizza Port El Rollo Draft. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy hoppy aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. KevinReddirt	3.8 Coronado Big Weekend A big weekend deserves a bit can. I got a 19.2 oz can from the Total Wine in Palm Springs during the tennis tournament last month. Label says 8.8% abv in large print, just to pass along. A snifter is in place to catch the pour and that I do. The appearance is a cloudy amber-orange with an inspiring top of arctic white foam that is showing a lacing possibility. I get an IPA hybrid scent, tropical fruit, some pininess and a bit of grain. The drink leans towards West Coast fortunately, there is grass, cedar, apricots, some mango, malt and a firm bitterness that ties it all together. A decent DIPA or even better. bhensonb	4 Coronado Point Danger Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours lightly hazy gold with a large foamy white head. Pineapple in the aroma. Med body. Flavor is a little pineapple and some melon, earth, citrus and non-piney resin. Juicy but not really undry. Moderately or so bitter. It is delicious. Tuesday, April 9, 2024

MicroGrog	3.2 Coronado Aloha Warrior Coronado Island, winding down. Feb 2024. Mostly hazy, golden honey pour. Dank, apple nose with a bit of pineapple. Sweet pineapple, bitter kale, mineral water, bit of lime rind on the tail. Harsh upfront but turns mellow. Medium carb. A little too thin & vapid. Okay. Sunday, April 7, 2024

MicroGrog	2.8 Coronado Rough Start Still going on Coronado Island, Feb '24. Dark brown, not black, dark cola, frothy, lingering creme head. Earthy, middling hops, very slight dank nose. Bittersweet, lime leaf, almost all cascade, grape skin, earthy finish, a touch boozy. Session+ bitterness & too much fruit. Not my exact idea of a black IPA. Saturday, April 6, 2024

MicroGrog	3.3 Coronado Coast Roast First beer as the opened on Coronado Island. Clear, active, pale gold, everlasting frothy. Ashy coffee nose with a lot of citrus fruit. Very bright & citrusy upfront, with a subtle earthy roast background. Touch of soap. Within that there's a cigarette ash sort of coffee that barely comes into play. Decent. Saturday, April 6, 2024

Braudog	3.6 Coronado Big Weekend Can. My old eyes can't decipher the stamp (dates?) on the bottom of the can. But this ERUPTED from the can like a volcano. Think I lost 1/3 of the beer. Once it settled, it's a light, clear, orange-yellow, oddly enough, thinly topped. There's a nice Westie aroma on this. On the palate it's got a bit of a syrupy essence. Despite the light visuals, this packs a punch with a hefty dose of hop oil. Thick on the tongue. (#8803, 2/2024) Thursday, February 15, 2024

jgb9348	3.4 Coronado Palm Sway Super clear golden and light copper coloured body with a pretty thick, three centimetre tall off-white frothy and creamy head that stays afloat over the perfectly clear and effervescent body. Aroma of grass, hay, flowers, light citrus, tons of alpha acids and a good kick of bread and very biscuity malts in the nose, at least. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Relatively crisp and doughy, biscuity and pretty grainy malt notes dominate up front, but provide a nice support for some citrusey and lightly hoppy, bitter notes behind and a dry finish with a light kick of alcohol noticeable, too. Aftertaste shows some floral and perfumey notes from the hops, with a nice hop bitterness (relatively light for the style) but the biscuity, doughy and pretty strong malt and yeast notes stay strongest in the palate. Overall, a decent enough IPA that has a distinct malt quality that almost makes this taste like a lager, but this is crisp and does have some hop bitterness and a decently balanced IPA, on the light side. Nice to sample and really only worth the space in my suitcase from California to Oklahoma and back to Washington, because of the great price! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 28-August-2022 for US$2,09! canned on 26-May-2022 with #4629 marked on the bottom of the can, and sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-October-2022. rondphoto	3.6 Coronado Palm Sway can @ Jungle Jim's - Eastgate (Cincinnati OH) - Clear dark straw color, aggressive bubbly white head that stays at 3 fingers for a couple of minutes, swirls of lace. Aroma of light malt with straw. Taste is light malt followed closely by fruit sour bittering. The two sides glide amicably together through a medium-long finish. Nice easy drinking IPA. Pretty clean and mid bodied flavor for being under 5%, crisp with some citrus. Well made example of a style that's not really too exciting, but surely a great choice on a hot day on the island. Very pale golden, fine bubble for a creamy white head with high retention and laces. Medium bitterness, hoppy, zesty and peppery, but with a solid malt character with fresh bread and rice. Moderate sweetness and a dry finish. Light, crips and refreshing, lively carbonation. Very well made rice lager, clean and greatly balanced.
