Odell Zard-Alu
Hazy wood-grain golden under a thin foamy white top. Bright funky apricot and earthy woody stone fruit (almost like raisin?) kinda qualities, with a dry wild yeast fruit rind going on at the end. Funky tart flavor in the body thatís vibrant and apricot-y, tart wild yeasties, some light woody funk, a touch of earthy lemon rind, and a cool tart apricot finish. Really pleasant and deep.

Pours light reddy pink with no head and lots of fizz. Aroma is slight alcoholic cherries. A real lip smacking, dry your mouth, punch in the eye sourness to this. Fantastic. Truly fantastic.

Odell Brombeere Blackberry Gose
12oz bottle from Windsor Hy-Vee, in a Sam Smith pint glass. Subdued aromatics of salt water and light beer. No indication of berries on the nose, but Iím okay with that. Any kind of artificial or overpowering fruit flavor would immediately ruin a brew like this for me. Pours deep gold yellow with a finger of foamy white head that dissipates after a few minutes. Nice clarity with considerable effervescence, coating the edges of the glass for a few minutes giving way to a nice Champagne-like cascade of rising bubbles. Flavor profile couldnít be more straightforward: Salt up front, followed by acceptably balanced non-specific ale fruityness, followed by more salt mid-palate, followed by lingering fruit on the finish. Light, fizzy, slightly salty and sweet. Very refreshing and very easy to drink. A mild and refreshing example of fruited gose. I enjoy it very much. Very little to say critically, except that I do prefer gose beers that really embrace and make the most of their raw ingredients to push the envelope in terms of flavor and character. Omnipolloís Bianca Mango Lassi Gose is hard to beat on those terms, though often hard to come by. A respectable effort from Odell at any rate.

Odell Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA
I just found this to be a confusing brew. Didnít have the sweet peach flavor I was expecting, nor did it have the normal rich flavor of a DIPA. It kind of gets caught in the middle and donít have real character. Meh.

Big bottle poured into a Stella chalice: Dark honey orange color with orange tinted, egg-shell colored foam, settling with sparse lace. Aromas of peach, apricot, funk, cleaner. Sour, acidic, fruity. The mouthfeel is slightly slick, with creamy carbonation. It finishes with an acidic twang and a touch of fruit rind bitterness. The palate thinks a bit with warmth but holds up overall. Super nice.

Very pleasant and tropical aroma. All the fruits from the description are present in the scent. Pale yet hazy yellow color with an enormous white head. Tastes slightly tropical with a perfect amount of hops for the style. Hoppy but not bitter. Clean and short lived aftertaste. Overall this is a very drinkable APA that is still substantial, not at all watery and has a good hop profile that is not overwhelming.

Keg at Yard House. It pours golden amber with a tiny white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, creamy banana, funky, barnyard, over - ripe fruit, tropical vibe, pina colada and ice cream. The taste is crisp, bitter - sweet, banana, bready, funky, spice, cereal, earth, light spice, wood, floral, pineapple and pina colada with a dry, bretty finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Very interesting stuff. Good depth and the funky bitter sweet balance somehow works. Good fun.

The aroma is kinda stale. Pour a cloudy copper/orange, with virtually no head and very good lacing. The taste is a stale bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy but a little thin, the carbonation average and the finish bitter. This is built bigger 7% but drinks like a session, not great but goes down fairly easy. Not bad maybe deserves more point but the aroma is not of an IPA.
