Odell Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA
higher rating from me for an ipa - honestly not that much peach but this was balanced - slight resin/grapefruit and not overly bitter hopped. still a hop bite at the end - citrus sweetness up front

Odell Drumroll
On tap at Angelís Trumpet Ale House, pours a clear pale copper golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, with lots of stone fruits and oranges, along with piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is super fruity along the same lines too, with lots of stone fruits, especially apricot, as well as oranges, piney hops and dry biscuity malts. Balanced really well, with lots of depth for a pale. Great.

Hazy gold with a white head. Its very refreshing and floral. The ginger is quote prominent but it still tastes like beer. I think it has more than a just the kiss of the hops.

Good clean aroma; I am getting the tropical fruit and citrus from the description, just in small amounts. Hazy dark yellowish color, a tight cap of cream colored head. Tastes hoppy, tropical and refreshing with a nicely bitter aftertaste. Bad palate, way too watery. Session IPAs are not my thing, but this is a decent one.

Odell Fernet-Aged Porter
Imperial Porters are eclectic brews, but itís unlikely youíll ever come across one more floral and herbaceous than Fernet-Aged Porter. Thereís no denying that itís strange stuff. Its long list of botanical and spice infusions creates a brew thatís spicy and complex. The odd ingredients donít get in the way of the experience, though. This brew does have lots of earthy bitterness but itís balanced by the chocolate/licorice notes in the malt. There is some oak flavor which helps to enhance the herbs and spices. Pretty unusual but extremely well-executed.

I like this. Copper brown, very clear with a thin layer of white head and some good lacing. Nose is nutty and malty, agree with previous rater that there is pecan in there, caramel too. Medium body, soft carb. Plenty of malt in the flavour too, caramel and roasted, and a touch of fruit - maybe blackcurrant. Definitely got the Scottish vibe going on.

Draft. Pours a thick, well retained, white head with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy light amber (SRM 8( body........nose is pine resin, grapefruit peel, slight citrus notes, mild toasted malts, balance to the hops......taste is dry, mild toasted malts, pine, resin, grapefruit peel, mango, pineapple, very slight mild allium and grass, finishing moderately hop bitter, balance to the hops.....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation, with light acid. This is quite hops forward in both aroma and flavor with appropriate bitterness. It is light, refreshing, nicely complex, with two minor flaws, first is the slight allium, second slightly stronger malts would be pleasant. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

Nice earthy hops with a hint of pine in the aroma. I thought the scent would be stronger, hoppier. Good looking dark golden color with a very sticky bright white cloud of foam. Tastes malty and smooth with some hops in the aftertaste. Perfectly accentuates the difference between a pale ale and an IPA. Very drinkable; I could have several in one sitting. Good solid palate. This deserves to be a top 50 pale ale.

12oz. Great appearance although maybe a little deeper in color than some West Coast DIPA. Very lifted. Lots of hops however there is a ton of malt and maybe a little more crystal malt or the like than a West Coast version. Very fruity. Rich palate and not excessively bitter. I like this style a lot.

Explosive taste like fireworks. Smells like pine trees. Poured into glass for me and looked like a beer. I am no artist I drink and I liked this beer. I sipped because this was the second beer of the night and I was eating Pad Thai with it. Finishing this glass of beer took about 30 minutes because the flavor, aftertaste and buzz was very satisfying. Will try again and i like the name!

10 oz at Historianís. I saw Odell pale ale on the menu and immediately went for it. Pretty let down. The beer itself is murky, turbid beyond some hop protein haze. A long lasting white head sits atop an orange body. The aroma is very juicy and citrusy. Grapefruit, mango, and a touch of caramel come out. The flavor is appropriately bitter with a good amount of fruity hop flavor up front. This fades to a lightly chalky and medicinal finish. Odell has some absolutely stellar, clean, and defined hoppy beers in their catalog. This one is a little shabby and rough around the edges. It certainly wasnít bad, but give me a St. Lupulin any day of the week.

pint on tap at Illegal Peteís. Iím not sure what happened the first time I got this beer. Maybe it was the bottom of the keg, maybe I was poured the wrong beer. But after hearing positive things about Drumroll I decided to give it another go. Iím glad I did. This time around I got a clear amber beer with just the lightest tint of haze and a tall white head. The aroma is sharp with defined, true hop character. Notes of grapefruit and orange are up front with a tasteful malt backbone. The bitterness in the palate is spot on with plenty of rich hop flavor. Now this is what Iíve come to expect from Odell. This is a really well made beer.

Slightly hazy deep golden with a lasting foamy white top. Fuzzy yeasty ale aroma of a little orange rind and farm fresh leafy hop. Nice full flavor thats complex and yeasty and citrusy and a little leafy. Very much American but not a whole lot on either coast, nor "Colorado"-ish. Like a hybrid of New England, CO and Pacific NW flavors, but a little fuzzy and medium-full and lightly citrusy.

Tart nose with traces of fruit (pineapple) and a little must. Pours cloudy golden with very quick white foam. Strong initial tartness with saline finish. The fruit appears in the middle, pineapple and lemony. Sharp on the tongue, medium body, light fizz. Moderate alcohol, largely muffled by tartness. The sourness is strong, but not overpowering. The pineapple tart / sweet accents the lacto and Brett elements very well. Very good from a caged / corked 22 oz bottle.

Looks like a gold cloud. Aroma is hard to detect. Initial flavor on the palate is thick (or cream) corn. Faint bitterness and citrus fruit struggle to come through on the finish. Its too thick and lacking in flavor to be a good session I would order again... oh, and too high in abv, other sessions with much more flavor come in around 4.2 and dont even get me started on full flavored esb from britain in the 3% range. We are talking sessionable beers with full flavor here people, not just IPAs!
