OldGrowth	2.8 HopMonk IPA Pint at Hormonal. Ok aroma. Sweet. Citrus. Caramel. Little doughy.. nice clean reddish orange color. Ok head little to no lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body creamy oily mouthfeel. Bitter dry finish. Its ok. Bit of a scent I associate with larger, the doughy part. Not gonna wow you, but serviceable. Sunday, May 18, 2014

Nose is a little thin, light hop presence, caramel malt, citric rinds, bitter orange, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt, peachy tang, tangerine, on the sweet side, light pine. brokensail	2.4 HopMonk IPA On tap @ Hopmonk Sebastopol. Dark amber pour...wat?! Off-white head to cap it off. Grass, paper, caramel, and pine on the nose. Hints of orange oil as well as aromas of bread and toast. Flavor is quite sweet up front, but a papery, bitter, astringent finish. Watery on the tongue. Grass, orange, and mild pine hop notes. Lots of sweet caramel, bread, and toast. Not enjoyable. Tuesday, January 7, 2014
brokensail	2.4 HopMonk Dunkelweizen On tap @ Hopmonk Sebastopol. Hazy amber colored beer with a small white head. The nose is quite buttery. Not pleasant. Banana, toast, and some caramel. Brown sugar sweetness and a bit of bubblegum. Flavor is very sweet. Less buttery, fortunately. Toast, caramel, bubblegum, and banana. Minimal, if any, spice. Monday, January 6, 2014

Light esters, mostly apple, and a hint of citrus peel. Flavor is fairly bitter. Mild sweetness and some bread flavor. Grass and floral hops with hints of citrus. Not exactly what I was expecting. MartinT	3.4 HopMonk Kellerbier My Bottom Line: This crisp and herbal Kellerbier focuses on its slender pils malts and spicy noble hops to offer a quenching pint. Further Personal Perceptions: -A slice of foam tops the cloudy blond. -This may not be as bright as what the Franconians tend to do, but it is a very quenching and cohesive example of this family of beers. -This is as effervescent as some bottled examples. The Franconians would have it a tad mellower, mostly due to not using other gases than the beer’s own. -A touch of sulphur slowly disappears from the aroma. -The hops are also grassy at times. 944play	3.4 HopMonk Kellerbier Draft at the Tavern. Pale gold, slight turbidity, with tall white head, some lacing. Bergamot and bready notes mostly mask a twinge of funk.
