3.5 Seven Brides LPA (Laurens Pale Ale) 16oz bottle from Trader Joe’s, Portland, OR and drunk on 09/10/2010. Malty nose with grassy hop hints. Sweet grainy flavours upfront and then a building bitter linger. Wednesday, September 16, 2020

3.6 Seven Brides Rose's Imperial PIlsner Keg at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland, OR on 31/08/2009. I do like an Imperial Pilsner, it has to be said, and this was very pleasant. Big malty nose, with dried fruit and floral hops bouncing out. Fairly sweet flavour, with good depth. Tuesday, June 9, 2020

3.4 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Rated 2-2-2019. Don't really remember this beer, but from the specs I would have thought I would have given it a higher rating. I really like hoppy beers if they are done right and something must have been a little off with this one. Saturday, February 2, 2019

3.1 Seven Brides Rose's Imperial PIlsner Rated 2-2-2019. Don't remember much about this beer either good or bad. From my rating I would say it was nothing special, but decent. Saturday, February 2, 2019

3.2 Seven Brides Maggies Marzen Rated 2-2-2019. Another beer I don't really remember. From looking at the ratings I can see a lot of their beers don't really have any high ratings, maybe if they had some really good beers, they might still be in business. Saturday, February 2, 2019

2.6 Seven Brides Becky's Black Cat Porter Disappointing. Pours black with a good head. Pretty smooth with notes of coffee and chocolate. Too bitter though and not enough malt. Almost has a buttery taste. It’s just not sweet enough for a porter. Go with the more well known Oregon porters. This stuff can’t hold a candle to Deschutes black butte porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Saturday, May 12, 2018

3.1 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA 22oz bottle pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is light pine citrus hops some light floral notes. Tatse is more of the nice light hops floral perfume notes and a cereal malt. Tuesday, May 1, 2018

3.1 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA 22oz bottle pours hazy light amber. 1” off-white head, short-lived and average lacing. Delicate floral hops fragrance, with also malty tones. Bitter forward taste, grainy, medium malt. Lingering puckering bitter aftertaste a little astringent. Overall good IPA for one or two. Expected more of other more fresh hops characters. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Sunday, March 11, 2018

3.4 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Dark honey looking gold. A very big off white head becomes the Matterhorn in appearance. Cool looking lacing. I smell apples and then citrus with caramel. A big biting bitterness as soon as this hits my mouth. Bitter and tart and herbal. My bitterness-O-Meter is pegged! But there is some very nice citrus and tropical flavors that manage to sneak in. But this is an absolute bitter hop bomb. It is kind of like bringing an air raid light when you need a flashlight. Just massive overkill. Saturday, May 6, 2017

3.1 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours copper amber. Off white head. Nose of citrus and floral hops. Medium body. Flavor is kind of acrid, with and in your face bitterness. Some odd flavors here. I still get citrus. Not a lot of balance here. Finished quite bitter. Hard drinking with all that bitterness. 2.9 Seven Brides Emily's Ember Draft 8/21/16 (Low Bar Vancouver, WA)-Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and slight hops. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew is rather tasty. Tuesday, March 7, 2017

3.1 Seven Brides Kili's Kolsch Bottle:   Hazy straw, a bit dirty, strong carbonation, huge fluffy white head, spotty lacing.   Bit of an astringent straw/hay on the nose.   Straw and hay to start, long grass, a touch of sweetness to make it interesting.   A bit overcarbonated tho, BURP!   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Not crisp but also not dull.   Seems middle of the road.   Just a smidge of ash or dust in the background.   Meh... decent. 3.3 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Bomber pours a mostly clear copper with a two finger beige head and excellent lacing. Smells floral hoppy and malt. Flavor is interesting, abundant hop bitterness with obvious heavy malt, but isn’t sweet at all. Just as massive hop and malt in the finish and aftertaste. One of the most bitter beers I’ve ever had. Is anything but average, has its pluses and minuses. Sunday, August 14, 2016

3.3 Seven Brides Raising Helles 22 oz bottle purchased from Rot’s Sunnyslope Market ni South Salem. $3.99 Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a nice frothy white head..that leaves some good lace. Aroma is honeyish, sweet, with a bit of fudge and caramel..slight floral hop. Taste the same as the aroma but not too sweet,..there is a bothersome stickiness about it in the end, not bad but takes away from the beer. The mouth feel is perfect for the style though. An OK beer but again could be better Saturday, April 23, 2016

2.6 Seven Brides Marionberry Saison On tap at Saraveza Farmhouse Festival, pours a hazy bright reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out marionberries, some nail polish, and light wine barrels. Flavour brings out marionberries, medium tartness and nail polish. It’s not overly elegant, but it works okay. Meh. 3.4 Seven Brides Stammtisch IPL pint served with dinner at Venti’s Taphouse in S.Salem OR. $5 Clear pale golden lager with a small bubbly white head. Good clean grassy hop and biscuit malt aromas. Taste similar but with the hops to the fore..and the malts appear as a strange but nice creamy crackerish flavor. Light and easy on the tongue. Very nice hoppy lager. Sunday, January 10, 2016

1.1 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA 22 oz bottle. From a kiosk in Portland, OR. Deep amber golden color with a small foamy white head. Gym hall, sweat, apples and mild sweetness in the aroma... downright horrible aroma... I’m about to throw up... The flavor is vomit, pine, birch... all the woods and dryness and sweetness. Incredibly bad. I can’t give any craft brew points as the beer is undrinkable. Saturday, October 17, 2015

3.3 Seven Brides Drama Princess Bomber from a grocery store. Pours a clear orange color with a small white head. A light earthy toast nose. The flavor is mild, herbal tea, lemons, biscuit. A distinct British yeast, Crystal. Smooth. Good. Sunday, April 5, 2015

3.6 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Bottle from Fred Mayer, Portland Amber color, darker shade, bright, clean, with small head. Strangely, the aroma is cheesy. Lean mouthfeel, rather dry; the flavor is mostly caramel with a light bready and biscuity tone, lightly cheesy; strong bitterness but without the expected hop brightness, some resins are there though. Because of the strong yeast and caramel character, this beer reminds a lot an ESB, with more hopping. Weird but not bad. Unexpected. Friday, April 3, 2015

3.7 Seven Brides Monki Love Growlette from Growl Movement. Super thick looking black in color upon pouring. Brownish/red foam on top, but just a trace. Fairly sweet roasred coffee nose with quite a bit of alcohol. Sweet and roasty up front. Quite sweet with a bit of milk sugar. Some coffee with a lot of roast. Roasty finish with virtually no trace of alcohol. I thought it would be really boozy considering the strong alcohol in the nose. Tasty impy, definitely on the sweet end of the spectrum. 3.6 Seven Brides Lil's Pils Pours a finger of head on a clear straw body. The aroma is metal and a little lemon. The taste is solid pine bitterness with a watery finish. The texture is crisp. Great aroma and good taste. Monday, March 30, 2015

3.3 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA Bomber. Caramel nose, with strong piney hops, weeds, herbs. Rich bright copper color with a thick, chunky head. Chewy caramel, hops slathered on with a trowel. Hops presence rises through mid palate and even final. Medium-heavy body, with a definite hop texture. Well, this is nearly a solid bar of hopped caramel. A bit much. Monday, February 16, 2015

3.5 Seven Brides Becky's Black Cat Porter Bomber from Roth’s. Black in color with dirty brownish head. Nose is dominated by sweet roasted maltiness. Roasty up front with some burnt roasted coffee. Finish is very roasted and burnt. Very solid, drinkable porter. Tuesday, February 3, 2015

T: Very bitter, some sweetness. M: Medium heavy body, touch of carbonation, noticeable alcohol. O: A brackish barleywine with a substantial amount of bitterness from the oak. It’s a bit too much. 3.8 Seven Brides Crooked Finger IPA Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dirty hazy orange gold with a large creamy near-white head. Cascade aroma? Flavor is earthy with fruit. Not a lot of malt to detect - just a heck of a lot of hop. There’s an earthy hit followed by mellow sweet stone fruit flavors. Leaving lots of earthy bitter on my tongue. Very nice. 4.1 Seven Brides Monki Love On tap at Bailey’s Taproom for Brewpublic’s Killer Beer Week. Colour...jet black with a corpulent tan head. Nose...ultra roasty with gobs of dark chocolate, charred meat and oaky goodness. Palate...thick, chewy and opulent with a dry mouthfeel that still maintains a velvety quality. There’s essence of black walnuts and dutch cocoa powder as well as Brooks prunes and currant paste. The finish is long, char-like and brimming with cocoa paste. Saturday, October 25, 2014

3.1 Seven Brides Frankenlou's IPA I can see why the ratings on this are all over the place. For hop heads, probably a delight. Unassuming aroma, with full on bitterness in the taste, some metallic, some soapy funk. One saving grace is a beautiful pour with nice thick head and lacing. Thursday, October 16, 2014
