This is the Diamond in Maastricht! A cosy house room look-a-like bar. Small, Friendly, neat, cosy and feeling at home. Some taps but talk to Peter and experience his beautiful cellar on your palate. Lovely place with at peace service, some tuna paté on toast and fitting glasses with every beer. This is the must visit place for every beer geek visiting Maastricht. Even if they don’t have something you haven’t had, which I seriously doubt, the atmosphere, friendlyness and good beers they serve, will make it somewhat of an unforgetable night. I am sure that those who are not into beer as much as we are (here on Ratebeer) will still have a tasty night and leave with a smile! Will be definitely re visiting this place!

Great bar in Maastricht. Nice beer menu, but do ask for specials. LOTS of Struise in stock, the owner is familiair with one of the brewers. Current stock includes Black Damnation II, III, IV, Cuvee Delphine, Black Albert, Shark Pants, Kabert, Pannepot / reserva, and lots more (excuse me for being a struise maniac). Lots of other great stuff (American / Dutch / Belgium craft) and the prices are good. There’s plenty of stuff to eat, from hot and cold snacks up to simple meals, for reasonable prices. The menu comes in 4 languages, Dutch, English, German and French. The owner is very very nice, and is always willing to have a chat and helps you with making a choise. Which is sometimes hard because there is so much in stock, around 500 bottles (and 8 on tap). there’s room for only about 30 people inside, and around 20 outside. You’ve got a view on the Maas river. The only minus for me are the opening hours, it closes quite early (in the weekends 00:00, on week days 20:00 / 22:00). So before you’d make a trip, call them to be sure.

The top beer bar in Maastricht by far. Located right on the river, it’s a small traditional bar with a great selection and lovely owners. The beer menu just gives a taster of what’s available before you chat to the owner who pulls out something special and surprising from behind the scenes. There was no problem getting a seat on a Saterday evening. The snack menu looked pretty good though I didn’t eat there myself. There’s hardly any point going to other bars here, Frappe is the best!

First class experience (every time). Over and above the best beer bar in Maastricht. The beer tasting is highly recommended.

Nice little place with a good selection of bottled beers including a decent selection of American beers. Friendly service. Good view, next to the river

We visited here twice, once on Wednesday 6th and again on Thursday 7th June 2012. This was a wonderful little bar with a really friendly landlord who was very good with suggestions and beer information, I had Struise Pannepot and Struise Pannepeut and also Alvinne Magro Negra whilst here but the choice was excellent, truly great with many (including the Pannepeut) not listed, the owner had remembered what I had, had the day before and suggested that I try this, to be fair I’ve had it before but I loved the owner’s enthusiasm and so had one, lets face it, it is a great beer. This is a small bar, we only went inside to use the toilet and settle the bill as the small row of four tables at the front was a prime people watching spot. Probably our favourite bar in Maastricht, great service, great choice, nice atmosphere, good value, in fact there is very little to pick fault with.

Maybe not the most beers but certainly some massive beers like pannepot and great divide hercules double ipa and both for only 4 euros! That’s cheaper than in any shop in the country I’ve ever been.

Located at the Maasboulevard. Quite old espressobar-interior. Wooden panels on the walls, some beer-related stuff. Small tap selection (4 taps) and 100+ bottles on the list. The owners are true beer-enthusiasts and as described love to surprise you with snacks and beers from their private cellar. Had a lovely time here.
