“Another taproom and brewery located under the arches, not far from 3 Locks Brewing Company in Camden Town. Eight taps served in different sizes. Rather small, cool, and colourful decorated taproom. Quite loud Motorhead music during our stay, an extra score for that! Friendly service and decent beers. Would love to return to this place. (Visited with Finn, 16.03.2024).“

“Now an ABI brewery, a massive spot north of Camden centre. Not that many taps though and certainly nothing interesting on tap style-wise. 1/3 pints available. The 3 beers I tried ranged from boring to decent. Decent spot but far from a destination brewery.“

“Decent brewery, very small taproom, very industrial, close to the centre of Camden. They had a half-dozen beers, 4 of which were their own. Full or half pints. The two I tried were decent, though nothing special. Hard to recommend it as a destination brewery, but if you're stuck in Camden, may as well pop in.“

“Small taproom in the brewery close to Camden Road station. Visited on a Saturday afternoon - I was the first person in. 8 taps - 4 their own and 4 guest. Their beers are ok - maybe a little old school, but not terrible. Place has a kitsch, horror themed vibe. If you’re over 6’, then duck as you come in, as there are hanging lightbulbs you’ll walk into otherwise. Taproom is a bit chilly, but it is a brewery. Basic benches. The owner seems to really like country music, as it was blaring really loudly. I came on my own, so not such a big deal, but wouldn’t have stayed long if I was trying to talk to others (although he may have been amenable to turning it down). Some interesting guests; Holy Goat being the most interesting. Then a Two Teibes and a Fell. Fridge has some of their canned beers, but not much guest, other than Mash Gang AF. Not bad to pop into, but not really worth a major excursion to.“

“A rather large pub on two floors located right by the cross-road center of Kentish Town. A Youngs pub with five cask ales, including a well-treated Youngs Winter Warmer at our stay. Decent range of craft beers on tap, quite a few from Beaverton. Crowed and noisy at our stay, but we found good seating for watching Tottenham against West Ham United (1-2) on TV screen. Hard working staff, polite service. (Visited with Leif, 07.12.2023).“

“A cool, little beer store with centrally location in Kentish Town. The right place for new craft beers from not only London breweries, but also from further afield. No drink-in from taps in this Clapton Craft place. Smiling, friendly service. (Visited with Magne, 06.12.2023).“

“Proper traditional local pub on a corner, not far from the Kentish Town tube. Smaller rooms spread over two floors. Five cask ales and craft beers on tap served in the front room next to the entrance. Very well decorated with colourful Yuletide-related things. And, they also served mulled wine at this time of the year. Good vibe on a Wednesday evening. Service minded, hard-working staff. Thai food available. Camra friendly. (Visited with Magne and Leif, 06.12.2023).“

“A cozy and inviting traditional English pub located on a corner relatively close to the Kentish Town West station. Many qualities; well kept cask ales on eight hand-pumps in addition to a few ciders, bric-n-brac decoration, the Nelson cat, great flower decorations outside, and a must-visit, lovely beer garden. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. Music from the Stranglers in the background. (Visited with Finn, 02.10.2023).“

“This place with the taproom, storage room and brewery is now called Camden Beer Hall located next to the Kentish Town West station. Modern, large place in different sections with a long outdoor seating. We sat in the taproom with altogether 24 taps, 13 of them on at our stay, nearly all of them with Camden Town beers. Five beers in each beer flight. A medium-sized taproom, long tables, airy and maybe a bit sterile. We were happy to see that they opened early (12:00) on Mondays. Friendly and informative service. (Visited with Finn, 02.10.2023).“

“Typical taproom railway arch. This place has the advantage of a wide service road/entrance area leading up to it with room for 6 or so picnic tables. Inside there is are another four or so tables. The brewery equipment is on the right with a bar area to the rear. 5 taps of their beers, although one was off. They also had various cans in a fridge. Forgot to pick up a can of the beer that was off on tap as I left. Given the owners punk rock creds it's not surprising that there is a dukebox. Bad Religion were playing in Kentish Town that night and they were blasting out - something some people probably wouldn't appreciate. The owner and staff were chatting to some punx inside, with some more standard looking drinkers on the tables outside. Anyway, a standard tap but actually punk rock.“

“Quite a large pub just off the main drag in Kentish Town, smart with a young feel. Quite open plan and very food orientated. The beer range on both cask and keg was pretty dull Nationally available standards so we didn't linger. Not a pub for the beer hunter.“

“This is traditional in style but with a modern feel. It's sort on on the border between Kentish Town and Camden but also off the beaten track We have visited a few times so cannot understand why I haven't reviewed before. It has been knocked through, so a decent open space with the bar in front of you as you enter. Comfortable but a little warm in the heat of the day, there is a pleasant, shady courtyard to use to try and keep cool. Always some new beers to try on our visits. Well worth a look.“

“The walk up Castle Street did get me concerned that I was going to interpret dodgy looking kids arranging a drug deal. Not the nicest street in Kentish Town. Slightly run down but lifted by the chat of locals and a pub cat. Was hoping for some new London brewery ticks and it delivered. Would have stated longer but had a couple of other places to hit before the Samiam gig at Camden Underworld.“

“Dropped in after finding that Caps & Taps wasn't open on a Bank Holiday. Looked like it was going for trendy so thought it was worth checking it out. The barmaid was talking to the only two customers sat at the bar. But as I viewed the taps I saw it was all macro and faux craft (Blue Moon, Laganiwhatsit, etc) so headed to Tapping the Admiral instead.“

“Visited on 20/03/2019. Small corner shop/off license. Not fair from Kentish Town West station and easily with walking distance of Camden. Looks fairly average on the approach. It’s not until you get closer you see all the windows are filled with beer, both cans and bottles, stack from floor to ceiling. The staff where both very friendly, greeted me on arrival. I didn’t interact with them other than pleasantries but I’m sure they would have been very helpful had I have. The selection of beer is very good, but heavily UK focused. Also, I found it to include a number of lines that could be found as standard at any supermarket. A relatively nice selection of European stuff, but mainly well known names, nothing micro. Most of the beer seemed to be available in chillers aa well as off the shelf. And a wide selection of spirits also on display. As to be expected from an independent, prices a little more expensive than chains. For example, Franziskaner was priced at £2.20 a bottle, most supermarkets sell at around £1.80. I ended up buying five beers for around £13.50. Not too bad. Overall, a nice friendly shop. Based on the selection available I’m not too sure I’d go out of my way to visit but if I was passing through the area I’d definitely put my head in to see what was available.“

“Old school old fashioned off licence. Once, one of a handful of places in London you could get a decent range of beers, along with Kris Wines, Nelson Wines etc. Now the range feels a little limited and there are so many other regular off licences stepping up their game. Still a good range though. Downside is beer is displayed in the window so if you're going to buy then buy fresh otherwise heat and light from the shop window will age some of these quickly.“

“Solid London boozer, with most of the ales being sourced from local microbreweries. My pints of pale ale were refreshing and in excellent condition. Best enjoyed if you are doing a pub crawl around Kentish Town.“

“Traditional London corner hostelry in a residential area with an excellent focus on cask ales. I tried several on my visit, which given I was on a pub crawl where I was only sampling one in each, this got a well deserved thumbs up. The pub is traditionally furnished, spread over a couple of rooms with the bar area mainly serving one of these, although it's not a standard layout by any means.“

“Decent ale bar near Kentish Town West Overground. Traditional and friendly if a bit tired. Concentrating mostly on sessionable cask from nearby breweries, although you can get a couple of (also local) bottles from the likes of Camden Town and Wild Card. It’s a place to have one or two but maybe not a pub in which to linger.“

“You can’t get more convenient than this from a public transport perspective: it’s pretty much next door to Kentish Town West Overgound. It has a lovely, laid-back brewery tap feel, but the beer list does leave something to be desired. Except for the slightly rare Unfiltered Hells, there isn’t a lot here that you can’t find in any town in Southern England: Pale, Hells, Ink, Pils. They usually have IHL but that was unavailable. There were a couple of guests (Pressure Drop and Redchurch) but nothing earth-shattering. Worth going because it’s convenient and, well, it’s Camden: you know what you’re getting.“

“Pleasant pub down a side street near Kentish Town tube station, what one may describe as a ’community local’. Quiet at 1pm on a Saturday but it would be. Friendly and comfortable, well-worn while still feeling fresh. Board games available. Beer selection is okay. Four cask ales (smaller London-based breweries seem to be favoured) with a few widely available keg. A few bottles, including Tailgate, Wild Card and Thistly Cross cider. There’s a Thai kitchen attached. The beer is cheap by London standards. Pleasant little room out back. It’s not a beer destination but it’s a nice place to be, fairly convenient and worth including on a crawl if you’re in the mood.“

“Corner pub midway between Kentish Town and Tufnell Park stations. Fairly traditional in style, it’s painted black on the outside, and has a dimly lit atmosphere on the inside with a very wooden interior, it’s a friendly enough place though that was gearing up to show the Euro 2016 football on the evening of my visited. A conservatory area built into its garden space offers up a more modern well-lit space though for some balance. The ales choices are somewhat of a letdown if you’re looking for more than just regular brews from local microbreweries, although these are kept well.“

“Corner house pub in an affluent enough residential area of Kentish Town just a couple of hundred metres north of the railway station. The centre door opens immediately to the bar and the pub is traditional in style retaining a fair amount of its Victorian charm, with its service area central in the building. Most area around it can be frequented. Operates a discount for CAMRA members and had a very high percentage special on one of its several cask pumps.“

“Suburbia pub in a fairly quiet area with attractive picnic seats out front. There is some in the less attractive lower yard at the back, although I couldn’t work out how to get to it. The pub has a welcoming modern design set around a central service area where craft keg dominates proceedings.“

“A short walk from the railway station, almost next door to the Forum where judging by the leather clad crowds both inside and standing out front when I arrived, it was a heavy metal band performing that night. I’d imagine whatever the style of music this pub does well from gig crowds. It’s a plush traditional bar with lots of natural light coming into the large front room where the bar is also situated. Youngs ales are complimented by guests including a real cider. There’s a back room, and an upstairs here with food served.“

“Quirky interior. Layout’s a bit illogical, and the decorations are noisy, but that just makes it more fun. Good selection of ticks for me, including a couple of favourite breweries. “Beautiful building, a really characterful part of London, and a well preserved interior - my god that ceiling is so high! Interesting hand-pull selection, seems a wide range of breweries are selected, and the bottle selection is interesting too - found a brewery tick in the fridge (and had 2 bottles of it, because). Staff friendly, CAMRA discount even friendlier. Lovely local boozer, welcoming.“

Beer range is pretty decent with a focus on local Brewers plus a good mix from the rest of the world. “Very nice beer shop that can be combined with a visit at the lovely Southampton Arms pub, which is a few minutes away. The selection isn’t on par with Kris Wines for example, nothing really hard to find, but they also sell lots of interesting local stuff and some internationals from Belgium or Scandinavia for example. Also quite a lot of refrigerated beers and a growler fill station. Really friendly and talkative staff. Prices are decent, quite similar to the other bottle shops. Definitely recommeded if you are in the area.“

“Compact yet well laid out and pretty well stocked craft beer bottle shop and growler refill tap close to Kentish Town tube station (between there and the Kentish Town Forum). They also have shops on Lower Clapton Road in Hackney, and on Hoe Street in Walthamstow. They sold a wide range of London, UK and imported bottles as well as in growlers and PETs which are filled from eight rotating taps, though seem to have narrowed the local brewery selection now which is a shame. Welcoming service from their knowledgable owners/staff in the early days though a little more hit and miss on more recent visits. Still good though.“
