COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I.P.A. or India Pale Ale originated in the 19th century when beer was shipped form England to the thirsty expatriates living in India. The beer was brewed stronger with more alcohol and large amounts of hops so that it would still taste fresh after enduring the long sea voyage and the warm temperatures. XXA is available only for a limited period. Every brew in the series has the same balance of malt, hop and yeast flavours. Some European noble hops are present to set a foundation with their down to earth green grassy floral notes. Additionally there are English style Aroma hops for a background of spicy pepperiness supported with American aroma hops with their wonderfully fruity, almost sweet impact. A perfect beer to drink as an Apero. The distinct hop aroma typical to IPA’s will be a little different each time. The Aroma is strong and fruity, almost citrus like. The bitterness is strong. A beer to be sipped and enjoyed.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with a small, lacing off-white head. Sweet tropical juice in the nose - if not exactly overly intense. Rich, sweet, malty body, quite caramellish, somewhat peachy. Some good, late bitterness. Decent. 270916

Bottle from Beers’n’More, Zurich, Switzerland. Consumed at home Saturday 2nd July 2016 whilst cooking large Conchiglioni Rigata pasta stuffed with small north sea brown shrimps, cream cheese and shallots. Pours a dark amber and much like most beer that I have these days it’s a murky number. It’s got a nice soft mouthfeel, the sweetness has a bitter edge with some citrus but there is quite a big caramel flurry here. It’s quite good but no big hitter. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

On tap at total bar, tulip glass. Color is a hazy orange with slowly disapearing white head. Nose is florally, sweet hops while taste is rather dry with no malt backbone. Good drinkable smooth IPA to me.

330 ml bottle. #435. Bottled on 12/15. From anstei. Thanks a lot Andreas! Clear amber color with a small grayish white head. Sweetness, floral hops, jelly sweetness, mild bitterness and malt in the aroma. The flavor is a bit harsh hops, fruit tea, dryness and some malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
