Just getting to know Scottish beers. This is a nice middle between their light pub ales to their dark offerings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Clear, dark, reddish brown with an off white head. Sweet, fruity malt aroma, matched in the flavour which also has some bitterness. Not bad

Deep nutty color with a big off white head. Looks nice and gives a fine lacing down the glass. Fruity, malty and toffee. Medium body and a fine carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Decent fine bitter.

-at the local pub, lochranza- brown with small white head. Toffee, chocolate and sweet malt. Sweet, nutty, floral and watery finish. Overall: enjoyable. A little watery.

Bottle on the Calmac ferry from Brodick to Ardrossan. Appearance - dark amber with a decent head. Nose - sweet malt and toffee. Taste -more light toffee intermingled with sweet malt and oats. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - classic 80 shilling.
