COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Muffin Top combines the attributes of a Belgian Tripel with a huge burst of American hops. Intense flavors from the Belgian yeast, reminiscent of candied fruits, mix with the hop bitterness and sweet orange peel to create a unique take on a Belgian-Style ale.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2019 Based on the label and name, was hoping this would have some more flavor/spice or whatever.....but in the end lives up to a great representation of it's style. Typical Belgian-IPA cross. Maybe not as smooth and perhaps a tier down from Stone and Lags, but solid brew. Liking all of Clown Shoes so far. Little expensive but gets you buzzed.

Bottle at home. Pours clear copper brown with a frothy off white top. Aroma: candy sugar, light spices, dried fruits, Belgian yeast. Taste: moderate sweet, citrus peel, dried fruits, candy sugar, spicy yeast, boozy. Medium bodies, generous carb, spicy dry finish. Much too boozy for me

larsga (7693) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 1, 2017
Huge white head. Clear coppery body. Smoky fruity rock candy aroma with metallic spicy notes. Sweetish resiny metallic fruity taste with sugary papery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fizzy mouthfeel. Sweet tropical fruit and metal aftertaste with spicy smoky notes. Unimpressed. Too sweet, and the orangey fruitiness is out of control. The flavours don't gel. It's drinkable, but I'm not really enjoying it. (0.65l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Spab (10113) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2017
650 ml bottle from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a murky dull golden orange with modest-sized whiteish head. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, candy sugar, light spiciness and a little herbal character. Flavour has Belgian yeatiness, lemon drops, orange peel, candy sugar and some spicy, herbal notes. Really no booziness to speak of. Quite nice.
