UPDATED: NOV 3, 2019 Bottle from Mitra in Gorinchem, The Netherlands. The beer is dark brown colored with a nice and stable creamy foam. Carbonation is very good. The aroma is malty, with notes of caramel, dried fruits, roasted malts, light chocolate and spices. The taste is medium to full bodied and sweet with caramel, roasted malts and dried fruits. It goes to light hoppy bitterness with notes fresh hops, chocolate and spices. The finish is light dry, bitter and warming alcohol.

Gangstergafje (3220) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 6, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2018 06-12-2018; bottle; at home (bought online at Beerwulf Webshop, Amsterdam, The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are very nice. The color is a very nice copper, with a great ruby red glow. The beer has a nice haziness. On top there is a average layer of slightly yellowish tanned foam, with low foam retention. Only a minimal drape is left on the beer. Not bad. The aromas of the beer are very nice. It is a bit different than most Bok beers. The malts are nice. They give some bready aromas, with touches of Dutch rye bread. There are also nice caramel notes, toffee, some roasted malts and a hint of liquorice. It has a bit more toast than most Bok beers. Also a nice bisquiti malt note is there. The hops are also nicely present. They give some herbal notes. Not bad. Nice special touch to it and quite robust, dark and earthy (in a good way). The taste of the beer is very nice. The hops are nice and sweet, but also come with some bitter roast notes and a tiny tiny savoury note. The hops are bitter. The beer is a bit more bitter than most beers in this style. This gives it a bit more kick. It is nicely balanced though. The palate of the beer is nice. Medium body, smooth texture and nice rather high carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. It has some malty sweets and toasty notes, together with a nice spicy bitterness. The finish also contains some nice fruity notes. I like it.

TtV (655) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2018 Bottle 37,5 cl. Dark brown with a heavy off white head that fades very slowly. Aroma not very specific. Some grain, hops and slight touches of sugar. The taste is surprisingly sweet, but very well balanced with bitterness. This bitterness also dominates the aftertaste which is very pleasant. Good one!
