COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Momentum de October India Porter Chemin de Croix’s rich roasted and chocolate flavours, made evident by its dark mocha colour, are accompanied by fruity esters resulting from the yeast. A resinous bitterness contributes to the overall dryness. Brown malt – rather than roasted malt – invokes the typical signature of the first Porters, often generously hopped for exportation to India.

gripweed57 (7498) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - NOV 2, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2023 11.5 ounce bottle from DeCicco & Sons in Armani, NY. Bottled on 01/22/2016, so it’s got some age on it. Nearly opaque dark brown pour is topped by a light tan cap. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark bread. Lightly carbonated. Flavors of dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, toasted dark bread, charred wood. Dry and bitter as the taste develops. Some resinous notes. Decent flavor and complexity for a beer that’s nearly eight years old.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2019 Sampled at ISO, black color with a medium beige head and nice lace. Nose and flavor of dark malt, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, subtle roast. More of a brown ale than a porter. Body was medium with a layered finish. Enjoyable in a small pour.

DraftPours23 (2978) - FRANCE - NOV 16, 2018
