COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light bodied, heavily hopped, amber colored lager with predominant hop aromas of tropical fruit with compliments of sweet malt. The sole hop, Falconer’s Flight, has characteristics of dank earth and grassy hay-like flavors are balanced slightly by some full grain attributes before a big bitter shock strikes the back of the pallet and resonates sharply.

12 ounce bottle from Short’s. Hazy amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pine, citrus, a bit of apricot and caramel. The taste is toffee, pine, earth, resin, lime, grapefruit. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. 50th ISL!

Aroma of malts and citrus, kind of a poor man’s nugget nectar, pretty good beer overall.

Pour on tap, dark orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, some lemon into a bit of pine, grass, some slight caramel and toffee with some toasted bread. Taste was a nice mix of orange, citrus, pine notes into a bit of caramel, toffee, toast, hints of grass, finishing bitter. Basically a red IPA instead of an amber.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber. Big off white head. Strong aroma of pine and grapefruit. Lots of lacing. Tastes much more like an IPA. Very very hoppy and I usually like that, but this one seemed all bitter and nothing else.

Clownoisseur (531) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - FEB 11, 2015
Bottle pours a deep copper with red hues. Nice fluffy off-white head lingers then recedes to a cap. Aromas of dank pine, earthy hops, floral notes, grassy notes...light sweet breads...and a mild alcohol note. Taste is bitter hops...notes of grassy, floral and dank pine. Mild breads, light caramel malt calms the hop forward assault. But the finish relinquishes another round of bitter hop bite. Solid fall camp fire beer!!

12 oz. bottle from Brandon. Thanks dude! Bottled 9/29/14. It pours a rather dark hazy amber color with a creamy, but disappearing off white head. The aroma is pretty dank and piney with some pineapple, plum, grape and hints of syrup. Super hoppy. The flavor is heavily bitter and a bit syrupy with tons of pine and hop spice with some cough medicine, red fruit and a mildly astringent, grassy bitter finish. Definitely more of a big red IPA than a Vienna. Pretty brutal on the palate, but the flavor is pretty decent enough.

Big hoppy lager. Fresh bottle from Champane’s Cellars. Brilliant though not super drinkable. Good hop aroma.

This poured an amber color with a white head. Aroma was of fruity and grassy hops and toasted malt. Flavor similar, definitely going towards an ipl. at this point.
