MartinT (10697) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 12, 2015My Bottom Line:
Cherry caramel and raisins are evoked by this Flemish Red-like creation, a generous profile enlightened by gentle tartness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the dark red haze.
-This is a little too sweet to be world-class in its category, but it’s a beautiful brew nonetheless.
-The tartness replaces the hop bitterness in this case to try and balance out the sugars.
-The fruit character is beautifully developed.

Silvan7 (1391) - Samarate, ITALY - MAY 15, 2015Bottle @ home.
maekchu (5664) - JAPAN - MAR 19, 2015Bomber. Thanks to KL. Light, wine-vinegar nose, with fermented prunes. Thick sludgy brown color, with a sloppy collapsing beige head. Sourish initial, tangy, with sweet dark fruit. Thin-medium body. Very nice moderate flavors. Flat through initial, but some small prickly carb picks up in mid palate.
KyotoLefty (15093) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 18, 2015Bottle from the brewer. 2012 barrel ages. Nice sour nose, cherry, yogurt, apple vinegar, caramel, vanilla, wine, wood. Cloudy reddish-brown, lace. Flavors of chocolate, cherry, vinegar, yogurt. Sweet then sour, though no huge sourness. Almost flat, could use a bit more carbonation to make it feel less heavy.
fedexs (22) - ITALY - OCT 12, 2014(Year: 2011) dark brown without foam. Aroma with wood, wine and you can feel notes of blue cheese and vinegard. Drinking it: toasted malt, chocolate and a bit of sour at the end. It can recall a stout beer eaged in wine wood barrells.
Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 2, 2014from Mondial de la Bière 2013, Mulhouse - cloudy dark brown beer without foam; the aroma is fairly woody, vonous with notes of plums, figs and black chocolate; full-bodied, very umami and decently sour; very low carbonation and with some malt sweetness below; long sourish aftertaste with more notes of wood and plums
czar (14997) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 19, 2014from bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. pours unclear dark brown without a head, no lacing either. plain caramel, lightly roasted malts traces, woodsy and astringent - peppery bretts, some sweetness - molasses, maple and caramel, grass, few resins and an awkward plastic presence. low carbonation - could be much brighter, medium body - oily and very thick, almost syrupy, lightly tart, sweet and spicy finish. poor sour brown. meh.
mathieuc (3997) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 15, 2014Pours a dark brown with no head and spotty lacing. Nose is of red grapes, brown sugar and a little roasty. Taste is a bit sweet overall without enough balancing acidity, not bad but pretty disappointing. Flavors of caramel (WTF?), grapes and other fruits. Mouthfeel is sticky (huh?), body medium and carbonation on the lower side. I thought it wasn’t bad but it isn’t really up to style and I wouldn’t want another glass of that.
Sammy (19152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2014Moderately sour, @Mondial. Simcoe hops, lemon and white wine taste. Nice and drinkable.
SlovakSniper (5557) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 12, 2014Mondial 2014. Conclusion : parfaite pour les non-initiés.
