Excellent.
tmoreau (9919) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2017750 ml. bottle from the brewery, shared & poured to snifters displaying a black/brown hue, with some ruby highlighting, a presentable layer of brownish tan froth, and foamy spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, cocoa, dark caramel sweetness, touches of barrel tannins, and vanilla. The taste was similar, medium+ bodied, with low carbonation, syrupy texture, some earthy & roasted bitterness, booze and warmth. Decent, par for the course Imperial Stout.
slowrunner77 (19964) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 22, 2016Never had the base but this was a slightly boozy chocolate vanilla roasted sipper of a stout. Pleasant thought and easily the best I’ve had from them.
b3shine (12209) - Westfield, Indiana, USA - FEB 5, 2016Can to taster. Looks good; a mostly opaque dull black with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, and mild roast. Tastes like it smells with a bit of toasted coconut as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and fairly bitter. Enjoyable, and a nice bonus that it’s available in cans.
stchloe (1248) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 9, 2015A creamy head, lots of strong roasted and coffee black malt notes, hints of bourbon strong alcohol flavor
