COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer that helped build our brewery; Bell’s Amber Ale features both toasted and sweet caramel notes from carefully selected malts, balanced with herbal and citrus hop aromas. Capped by a clean bitterness, it’s incredibly versatile with food, but very tasty on its own.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2023 12 oz. bottle. I’m curious about the waterfowl on the label, seems random but maybe it’s a species native to Comstock, Michigan for all I know. Copper with thick and pillowy white head. Poured aggressively and noted sediments within. Sour fruit aroma. Citrus and grass. Extremely drinkable. Wood and caramel mixed with biscuit malt and grassy hops. Great taste and aroma. Etched the glass with elaborate lacing. Very quenchable flavor that treads the line between hoppy and sweet. At 5.8% alc/vol it’s not too light or too heavy. Creamy mouthfeel. Finishes on a pleasant tart bitter note. Going deeper into the beer I picked up on some muted brown sugar and light green apple notes. A fundament-ale, if you will…

commonmac (2304) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 9, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2021 12oz bottle gifted by coworker and consumed from a large snifter glass. Color aligns with the names with relatively minimal head. Aroma is caramel, malt, and mild grassy notes. Taste brings in similar characteristics from the nose with caramel and toffee and a good toasty malt element. Nice bitterness rounds it out. All around good beer.

Kcsguy (80) - USA - JUL 18, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2020 What’s not to like about a amber. First taste is very smooth. Even better on tap. Way in the background is a IPA taste. A cloudy amber color. Bells makes good beer and this is one of them.
