JStax (10650) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2016Draft sample at the source. The beer is a dark brown to black with a grey head. The beer has notes of leather, dark chocolate, nuts, and toasty coffee. Lingering bitter finish. Big body and medium carbonation.
PhillyCraft (12794) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2016Sample at Reservoir, pours dark brown nearly black with small beige head. Not much lace. Flavor is dark and roasty with a good amount of hops as well. Toffee, licorice, light peat and semi smoked barrel. Medium bodied but not sticky and somewhat refreshing. Nice stuff. Reminds me of a more Sessionable de Molen type porter
Berard (639) - Salem, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 6, 2016Draft. Pours black with a thin creme colored head that lingers. Big smoky flavor over solid mouthfeel.

Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - MAR 25, 2016On tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark hazy brown color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated immediately. Minimal lacing sticks and then slides into the beer.
The smell had some light sweet and roasty smooth coffee beans, light cocoa beans, light amount of ash, and a light sweet wheat.
The taste had a sweet wheaty to ashy cocoa bean. Light coffee slides in underneath for the balance. Ashy/smoky and roasty aftertaste leads into a sweet dry wheaty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth and light.
Overall, wheat based Imperial porter, yup works for me. I’d have again. Good stuff.
thepatrickman (1503) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2015Draft at the brewery. Deciduous makes excellent beer, but I think Deciduous is my favorite. This is a complex beer, with the character of all of the malts used (wheats, rye, etc) coming through in waves. Some flavor of smoke, quite a lot of roast and chocolate. Great, full mouthfeel. Overall, this is one of the top 3 porters I’ve ever had.
Amberlovesbeer (4) - - DEC 26, 2015 does not count great porter if you like band aids plastic rotting squirrels and way to bitter another drainpour from deciduous
Ernesto987 (6082) - Arizona, USA - OCT 12, 2015growler, tons of roast and ashyness here There is a good amount of smoke too which I love. Great balance to a lot of grilling meat type flavors. Finish is roast.
