Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a cloudy gold with a frothy lacy white head. The nose is a nice combination of bright spices and subtle bourbon notes. Some of that bourbon is lost in the flavor and I would definitely like to see more of it. A little sweet, pretty floral. Has a slight crispness and a good easy drinking quality.

tulip at toronado in north park.. not gonna lie, was a little lite when I had this but it still stood out as a cut above the rest...Bright yellow color announcing itself and the smell had overtones of bourbon and I LOVE all ales brewed in that style.. sweet overtone and couldnt even sense the ETOH.. I could taste a great array of sweet dried fruits, some vanilla and of course and punch of jim beam bourbon on the palate at the end.. Cant believe this beauty has 11% ABV, it hides it well.. This little thing is a lady in public but a role playing, toy slinging naughty girl in private... Great tripel

Bottle courtesy Nate, March 10 Tasting. Pours golden with fizzy white head. Brown sugar, whisky, vanilla and oak. Vanilla and mild hoppy flavor, brown sugar, dry and oaky. Cream soda-like, or a bourbon and water. Just a touch too harsh at the end.

Draft at teresas. Pours a bright yellow body with slight haze. Aroma is delicious tart and some citrus fruit. Taste is a bit dryer than expected.. but extremely drinkable and delicious.

Bottle. Pours golden with a big white head. Flavor is sweet with fruit and vanilla notes. Finishes with a big Jim Beam flavor. Really nice Tripel.

Sweet abbey tripel aroma with notes of vanilla and pear, almost like a saison. It pours golden blonde with a huge foamy head. The sweet, smooth, delicious tripel flavor is followed by a bite from the Jim Bean barrels. But this bite finishes on the palate nicely.

From 2007 vintage bottle. Oak, honey, vanilla, sweet and velvety; bourbon. Great nose. Some raisins, too. Hazy amber clear with thin white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation and alcoholic warming. Sweet start to finish, weak bourbon and ginger ale taste. Dry finish with light chalky bitterness. Nice flavor that has mellowed a bit, warming at the end.

Allagash Curieux Pours pale gold with a thin white head and excellent retention. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, cloves and alcohol. Smell is somewhat reminiscent of a good hefe, but with more booze. Flavor is cloves, alcohol, bananas and a slightly sour metallic finish. Pretty damn good. Like a bigger, better hefe.
