UPDATED: JUL 4, 2021 Keg at Brewdog Manchester Jan 2017. Pours a hazed orange with a small white head. Aroma: tart, funky apricots, lemon juice, gooseberries, brett, smoked wood. Taste: tart & acidic, lemon juice, brett funk, smoked. Medium body with light carbonation.

from Bierkeller Au Trappiste - very hazy blond-orange beer with a poor head retention; a decent well-integrated smokiness with notes of orange peels and rhubarb; light sour, moderate malt backbone; quite dry; lingering sourness, fairly fruity, the smokiness is less apparent in the finish

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2017. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of smoke wheat, with a light tart fruit and a bit of hay underlying. Flavor has pretty intense smoke with some light tart fruits underlying and a bit of wheat.

appearance: light gold, hazy, creamy white soapy head. aroma: cracked wheat, sour lacto-barnyard funk, whisp of campfire and lemon rind. taste: sour, tart lemon-lacto funk, hint of saison-y horse blanket, light smoke, pie crust, grass, pepper. finish: slightly dry, quick finish, hint of lingering smoke. notes: Light, effervescent palate. Interesting and fun, but probably couldn’t drink a 750 of it. Draft at Victoria Gastro Pub in Columbia, Maryland.

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tap: pours slight hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is lacto funk. Taste is sour at the front with a smokey back. Very light body. Good.

Draft - Soured wheat and a touch of funk. Clearish gold with a rich white head. Earth, touch of manure and soured grains. Bright and clean finish. Quite nice.

D-. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Too sour and also had bad flavor
