COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep golden and opaque, Paradise Lost is our hoppiest beer to date. Massive tropical fruit and pine aromas escape the top of the glass thanks to the dose of Lupulin powder and a heavy handed double dry-hop. Clinging to the flaked oats like a life preserver, hop oils remain in suspension creating full flavors of peach, mango, and pineapple. This is a beer celebrating our fondness of hops and how we utilize them, and like all IPAs it is meant to be drank fresh.

Got in a BIF from KMitch. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/30/2018. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with good strength. A bit more muted than expected. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.1%. Overall this is an incredible NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel. Feels like mostly Mosaic/Galaxy. Insanely juicy and slightly dank/earthy hops; perfect wheat/oat/malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing/perfectly executed style example all the way through.

Orange and opaque with a thick white head and plenty of lacing. Citrusy, grapefruit nose. Easy with a medium, somewhat malty mouthfeel and a sweet, orange juice, grapefruit finish.

16oz can from GT Package in Grovetown. Can date less than 2 months ago. Standard ipa pour, a bit more pale. Aroma has citrusy tropical fruits, grapefruit zest, lots of juice in the nose. Tangy. Taste is of tangy & citrusy fruit, some chewy resin and some pale malts. Sweeter fruity than expected, but tangy bittersweet is the lead. Less than medium bodied with a bit of an alcohol presence. The blend is solid. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet. Solid effort. 13.8

From notes, tasted at Great American Beer Festival 2017. Will add more notes if I get to try this again. Good stuff.
