UPDATED: APR 5, 2021 Bottle, pours like a red ale. Taste- Beautifully deep, very malty and with a full mouthfeel, quite old fashioned tasting and stouty, even better on Cask in Cumbia itself. Unique malty brew.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2020 Aroma : Toasty toffee & chocolate malts, soft red fruit undertones, a little chritmas cake spice mix, with an earthy hoppy note. Taste : As aroma. Medium-full bodied, malty and rich with a balanced moderate bitterness throughout. A classic 'mooreish' Old Ale

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2020 500ml bottle from Morrison’s, Hatch End and drunk on 14/04/2006. Always did enjoy this, as being that bit different and it was still very nice in bottles. Good depth of flavour, with lots of malty and fruity notes.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2019 Sweet malt hop aroma. Dark brown colour great head and lacing. Sweet malt chocolate aroma with slight spice. Smooth palate.

Halfway between a stout and an Irish red ale. Chocolate on the nose. Toastiness and a full mouthfeel with a nice, hoppy punch and some acidity in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Dark Brown in colour, Reddish against light. Very heavily malted; roast (burnt) malts, lots of caramel, coffee, nuts, hint of chocolate. Fruity; raisins, dried fruits. Hoppy; grassy hops. Roast malty throughout; sweet initially leading to a bitter finish. Decent. (2010-04)

Not particularly exciting, tastes quite like porter. Wholemeal aroma, taste is similar with coffee and chocolate. Would struggle to pick it out of a lineup but is nice enough.

Bottle. Malty, light roast aroma. Clean malt backbone with a hint of licorice. Satisfying light bitter finish. Decent if slightly basic ale.

0.5 bottle. Pours brown color with medium, mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, nuts. Flavor is light to medium sweet, same bitter. Decent roasted flavor. Long finish, chocolate, coffee. Light body, soft carbonation.
