Always did enjoy this, as being that bit different and it was still very nice in bottles. Good depth of flavour, with lots of malty and fruity notes.

Very heavily malted; roast (burnt) malts, lots of caramel, coffee, nuts, hint of chocolate. Fruity; raisins, dried fruits. Hoppy; grassy hops. Roast malty throughout; sweet initially leading to a bitter finish. Decent. (2010-04)
samjdix (103) - - DEC 31, 2016Not particularly exciting, tastes quite like porter. Wholemeal aroma, taste is similar with coffee and chocolate. Would struggle to pick it out of a lineup but is nice enough.
