UPDATED: DEC 11, 2023 Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy mahogany colour with a thinnish soapy looking off white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, berries, caramel and toasty brown bread. Taste has more of the dark fruits, more caramel and toasty brown bread, some jam and also some nutty notes coming through on the finish. Medium to full body and light spritzy mouthfeel. Nice drink.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2023 On tap at TNT Pub, Trieste. Shared with Ogi. Clear deep amber, small off-white head. Aroma is intense caramel, dried fruit, red fruit, syrup, some toasty notes. Sweet and sticky, strong. Smooth. Dried fruit, brown sugar and toast flavour. Minimal hop bitterness. Warming finish, a bit too sweet and somewhat lacks deeper complexity.

En boca entra con una ligera pugna entre notas levemente amargas y dulces, cuerpo medio, notas de pan negro, caramelo, bayas, frutos negros...Final largo, de nuevo con esa curiosa pugna entre lo ligeramente amargo y levemente dulce, y seco. No esta mal

There is no red in the beer, nor is there the taste of any red fruit. quite sugary sweet wit bitterness from hops and burnt sugar. As soon as you swallow, the taste is gone. too bad they came in a 4-pack

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2023 Bottle at Poechenellekelder, Brussels. Pours clear dark amber with a beige cap. Spritzy, fruity, caramel, red berries. Taste: moderate sweet with lighter bitterness, light sour, malt, caramel, berries, light citrus. Medium body with foamy carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2022 Das Keizer Karel Charles Quint Robijn präsentiert sich in toller Flasche mit super Etikett. Wir haben daumendicke, gemischtporigen Schaum, der mittelstabil ist. Ansonsten dunkel kupferfarbenes Bier. Der Geruch offenbart die 8,5% Alkohol mit Toffee und Pflaumen. Beim Antrunk die beschriebenen Aromen mit Gewürzen im Hintergrund. Es geht fast richtung Likör bei geringer Rezenz. Der Gesamteindruck ist recht süß. Beim Abgang mehr Kaffee und Alohol sowie eine Bitterkeit, die mit reinspielt. Unterm Strick sehr abwechslungsreich, interessant bei sehr gut verbautem aber immer noch erkennbarem hohem Alkoholgehalt. Spitze! 09-2019
