COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Klosterbrau Edeltrüb is yellow brown, supply bitterly, unfiltered and therefore cloudy. The pleasant yeast note as well as the mildness and Sueffigkeit round off the taste experience. Nature-left specialities were already brewed in the Middle Ages by monastery breweries and highly estimated. The brewery Brauerei Eichhof again discovered this old prescription. Klosterbraeu Edeltrüb is consumed particularly by younger and young-remained Biergeniessern.

I bought this beer at Luzern, drink of the world. I drank it at Bonfol. It is a regular beer, nothing extraordinary but it is not bad. The color is yellow and creamy, troubled, thin and white foam, regular carbonation. The taste is typical for a keller beer, malty, few hop, particulary refreshing.

eduardovl (1832) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 14, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 330ml bottle served in a pilsener glass. A: Pours a slightly haze dark yellow color forming a decent bubbled and aired white head. Medium to low retention and lots of lingering lacings in the glass S: Extremely grainy in the nose. Mainly sweet grains and bready yeasts. Some grassy hops which are kind of Heineken style. Some annoying adjunct malts can also be felt T: Average brew. Very grainy taste too. Slightly sweet malts in upfront. Light notes of caramel malts. Very bready. Lager yeasts. In overall, dry in the mouth with a light hoppy bitter end. A bit of metallic sensation and some notes of adjunct malts. Again, Heineken hops in the end M: Very light body. Good carbonation. Grainy and bready aftertaste O: Medium drinkability. Standard Swiss-German Lager style. Not an Altbier but much more a Keller beer [ BA Review @ 2/26/2013 ]
