Ambrée décente mais caractère léger, sans longueur, presque fade. Pas désagréable tout de même. Bouteille 33cl, sous format "La Touquettoise ambrée", achetée en épicerie au Touquet, France, bue le 03/06/2014.

Alengrin (11043) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2014
Artisanal Wallonian ’spéciale belge’, the classic, almost standardized genre of Belgian amber ales. Yellowish white, irregular, sticky, stable foam, ’real’ deep amber colour, almost copper, misty. Aroma of freshly cut apples, banana, grapefruit, walnuts, caramel, liquorice, cinnamon, leather and a faint smokey accent. Crispy fruity taste, citrussy, caramel malts, in the middle strongly nutty like a pale ale, light smokiness, finishing in a herbal, medium long hop bitterness. Now this is what a traditional spéciale belge should taste like - the great (commercial) icon Palm Spéciale can even learn from it.

I’m disappointed by this gluten beer, just wish it had a little more bite. The guy at the liquor store I got this from said it wasn’t his favorite and Brunehaut does a better job with other gluten free beers they have, so I’ll be back.

On draught at na organic ale fest - nice intense copper color. Nose is sweet and grassy. Taste is also sweet / hints of apple, grape, syrup. Does have a faint piney accent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Syrlig och söt, lättdrucken men god. Smak av torkad frukt, karamell, belgisk jäst.

Bottle pours a hazy yellow/orange with a tiny white head. Scent of lemon and yeast. Taste is sweet with spices.

Svesse (14242) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 20, 2012
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 3 May 2012) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit, chocolate and toffee. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, citrus peel and a mild, dusty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent, but there’s nothing around to make it stand out.

oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2011
Pours a hazy medium orangish amber color. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a touch of fruit. Flavor is a nice mixture of malts and fruits.

bierkoning (20247) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle @ home. Amber color. Just a touch vinous aroma. Malty yet thin floral soft caramelly flavor, flowing into a soft earthy bitter finish with notes of matured grapejuice. Not bad.
