RSRIZZO	1.5 Berghoff Rowdy Root Beer 12oz can (Courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 43°. Color is a deep clear amber with light carbonation and no head. Aroma is like someone poured a root beer into a pilsner, it's an unpleasant medicine like scent. It has a medium body with a rich heavy mouthfeel. Flavor is like the aroma but very sweet. Aftertaste is something like cough syrup. Overall this is just bad, way too sweet and needs more carbonation. Saturday, November 11, 2017

DrnkMcDermott	2.8 Berghoff Rowdy Root Beer Somewhat sweet, with some individual spices in the nose. Taste is sugary, but resolves to a note of honey or molasses. The taste is pretty good. malt and some bright hops. a slightly peppery sensation on the finish with some mild bitterness. Hop presence is evident. But here we go anyway. pours a cloudy straw gold with a small white head. aroma is spice and banana. BeerInHeaven	3.4 Berghoff Germaniac Pale Ale pours a slightly murky gold with a smallish white head. aroma is light sweet floral. Very interesting flavor profile. Definite hop presence. mildly bitter but with spices as well as a little sweet honey. The blend of hops , spices, and honey all come through in the finish and linger in the sinuses. ccex	2.9 Berghoff Rowdy Root Beer 12 oz. can pours a fizzy brown with quickly vanishing beige head. Looks like root beer, tastes, like root beer, but has lots of vanilla and somehow comes off as artificial flavored root beer cough syrup. Body is full with fizzy carbonation and a sticky, syrupy mouthfeel. Taste is sweet and sugary but without any foul aftertaste. JK	3.1 Berghoff Straight-Up Hefeweizen At Berghoff,Chicago. I assume this is the one I had because the other weizen has been retired for years. A little soap in the flavor and aroma Otherwise it is ok woth moderate sweetness and some banana, hazy orange color and a thin lacing head. hotstuff	2.9 Berghoff IPA Rated on 12-10-2015 (Can) The appearance is a large creamy smooth beige head that mostly diminished, hazy orange body, slow rising carbonation observed, and the lacing is spotty. The aroma is citrus hops, grapefruit, and sweet. The flavor is lightly bitter, citrus hops, candy sweet, tropical fruits, and bready. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light bodied. Dogbrick	3 Berghoff Genuine Dark Beer Bottle labeled Sundown Dark Beer. Pours dark brown with some amber around the edges, and a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, nuts and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and slight hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste.
