Onslow	3 North Peak Dauntless Pour from a 12oz can. Clear copper brew, fizzy tan head that fades. Mild caramel and musty aroma with faint hay and spice. Taste is caramel and biscuit malt up front with light grassy hops underlying. Finish verges on sweet with a slight upsurge in bitterness to help nudge it to dry. Light bodied. ClarkVV	3.9 North Peak Tropical Diabolical DFW draught, 6/21/23. Clear, lemon-blonde. Ring of white head. Juicy, fruity, hoppy, malty nose. Wow, that's a pretty balanced, aromatic nose with the fruit being forward, but not overdone or sugary/cheap. No resin, booze. Soft, malty, juicy, fruity, hoppy...yeah, I really like what NP is doing with their IPAs. They're malty, not too much so, with assertive but not piney or resinous bitterness. The fruit here is lovely, not sweet or too acidic. Thursday, June 22, 2023
jgb9348	3.4 North Peak Havoc Crisp and very clear golden coloured body with a nice, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, hay, light citrusey hops with a big hit of biscuity malts and a noticeable sweetness in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Very crisp, biscuity and crackery malts show with some relatively strong yeast here as well and a dry kick of grass and flowers towards the end with a slight dose of citrus fruit, but the bitterness here seems to come mainly from the grasses. Aftertaste shows some flowers and almost a saison-level dryness with a big kick of bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops, but not showing as much malt here - some biscuity flavours, but not much depth or richness. Overall, a pretty nice, grassy, dry and floral IPA with a good kick of bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops, but not too rich in terms of malts to make this relatively easy-drinking, at least for the style. Nice to sample, locally-ish and in a can (although I used to love their stubby bottles). I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Kroger in Detroit (Utica, 23 Mild Road), Michigan on 18-April-2023 for US$10,99/six pack sampled in my hotel room here in Utica, Michigan on 19-April-2023. ClarkVV	3.7 North Peak Dauntless Jolly Pumpkin airport draught, 9/12/22. Clear, lighter bronze-amber, small, off-white head with moderate retention. Malty with sourdough and caramel. Good mineral and/or yeast character. Low hop but light herbal accents. Very clean. Sticky caramel, light vanilla, low hop character but good attenuation and good malt depth and softness. ClarkVV	4 North Peak Havoc Jolly Pumpkin airport draught, 9/12/22. Clear brass-bronze. Thin, white head. Stinky hop in a good way. Mineral and light sulfur. Honey-rich malts, clean, for as much as they talk up the aggressive hopping, it's wonderfully low in pine and there's no resin. No alcohol or flaw. Love the sweatiness. Flavor wise it's very malty, but with excellent spicy hop bitterness, sweat and mineral. Yellow fruits, maybe even a hint of mango. I don't know, something undescribably great here. Or maybe that's just the sumptuous, well-attenuated malt. Whatever the case, this is a fantastic example of the hybrid IPA. Reminds of Lawson's, I suppose. Monday, September 12, 2022

flatmatt	3.5 North Peak Scout Hazy IPA 12 oz can. Pours a mostly hazy yellow with a white head. Piney and citrus hops lead the aroma, with more tropical hops and some yeast coming in after. Flavor rather piney/spicy hoppy with tropical hops. citrus, and yeastiness. A bit different from some other hazy IPAs, especially with the prominent yeast, but it's pretty nice. zubblwump	2.5 North Peak Piney Dark amber pour with minimal head. Fresh pine/hop aroma with a just touch of sweat fruitiness. Pretty bitter on the tongue, which completely dominates the taste. notalush	4.1 North Peak Berserker Imperial Stout Can - pours black with a tan lace - nose of licorice, coffee, chocolate, umami - slick, full mouthfeel - rich but not overly sweet - mild bitterness and acidity cut the malt richness, as does light smokiness and umami character - chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, black cherry - rich and full without being overly sweet or boozy - I’d rank this right up there close to Expedition Stout (though it’s not quite at that level) - and at the price point, it’s an exceptional value. mkel07	4.2 North Peak Havoc Can from My Beer Dealer on 6 August 2020.I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Michigan breweries for no other reason than Detroit is our usual stopover point when we visit family in Canada and the hotel inside the airport that we stay at always has a great range of Michigan beers. This is a big hoppy beer and the bitterness and hoppiness wreaks havoc on your tastebuds. Great looking beer in the glass with a strong hoppy aroma and a big hit of fruitiness in the flavour. Deep black with a latte coloured foam layer across the top. This is my first beer from North Peak Brewing Company and it is a doozy. Bitter dark chocolate finish tops this beer off.
