ClarkVV	3.8 Allagash Surf House 335mL canned 3/6/24, drunk 4/9/24. Clear blonde-brass. Sizable white head, modest retention. Bit of yellow fruit, biscuity malts. It's clean. Light pine and citrus, bit of yeast on the finish but not very classic, crisp, mineralesque lager. Fuller body, strong but tight carbonation with excellent malt adding bread dough and honey. Pepper, light pine, yellow fruit and lingering bitterness. Not very summery. It's robustly malty and bitter. But props for that, I guess. Clean. Tuesday, April 9, 2024

ianwelby	3.8 Allagash Gatherwell Opaque stout, medium light tan head. Aroma is full of boozy warmth, with caramel,.malt and dried fruit. Flavour has the sweet bourbon too, but it's enhancing things not overpowering them. Caramel, fruit fruit, sweet malt. imdownthepub	3.7 Allagash Tripel Reserve Bottled, 355ml aged 3yrs from A Hoppy Place, Windsor, Berks. Hazy yellow gold with white head. There is a pleasant Belgian type yeasty character to this initially, bubblegum and pear drops with a hint of banana. Violet grape drank. Jammy sour & sharp berry wine & grape Skittles nose. Not getting obvious & ordinary blueberry. Pucker sour, berry, lime, lots of stem & pithy bitterness. Bright. Thinned out red wine in sauce. Lingering blueberry skin finish. High acid, very carbonated, obviously dry. I oddly feel somewhat incapacitated for a 6% brew. Wait for the backwash. Good.
