snowcrash000	3.6 Braustelle IPA Home Grown Pours a cloudy, deep amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and floral and fruity hops, with notes of red berries and citrus. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, quite caramelly malt and floral, bitter, slightly spicy, herbal and fruity hops, with citrus and red berry notes of lime peel, strawberry and red currant, as well as some potpourri coming through. Finishes bittersweet, with a medium bitterness and some citrus, red berries and potpourri lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. This is described as being brewed with "new hops from the Hallertau", whatever that means, but it clearly seems to fit the profile of a "German IPA" with a rather unique flavor profile that is dominated by quite floral and somewhat herbal and spicy notes, as well as fruity citrus and red berry accents. I'm not a big fan of floral notes in an IPA and I also think that the caramel malts are a little much here, making this way too sweet and floral for my personal, but nevertheless it makes for a rather interesting and unique beer that is not afraid to be different and I can appreciate that.
