Polling random users (highly rate-limitted, I’ve only checked 200 overnight) it seems like almost nobody is active - just one in that 200. I don’t have enough data to see if any particular era has a higher or lower retention rate than any other. |

Originally posted by cheap 7 million. And those are active users, not registered accounts. Ratebeer likely has fewer than 10k active users. |
Hey, I can’t find UT’s forum/discussion page? |
2007 User here. Does that make me officially an old timer now? :P |

Originally posted by cheap With registered accounts? Absolutely. Remember, we’ve only had 500k account registrations ever, in over 15 years. Punch in random user numbers and you’ll see that practically none of them are active. 1 in 50 even seems like a stretch. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we had fewer than 5000 monthly actives, 3000 weekly actives, and fewer than 2000 active raters. How many people come to RB without having an account/logging in is a different story, but we have no way to estimate that data. |

We have about 7000 people with more than 100 ratings (not all of which are still rating) Now, of course, we also have a couple of people with zero ratings who are there only for the forum or trades, but still. |
Out of those 7000 my guess is at least 25-30% is not active anymore. |
