I’m in the 2012 group too

As I said. Quality.

Good job achieving 2nd place.
Sincerely,
Class of 2007

Harder to buy beer during your freshman year of college. ;)

Drake is absurdly proud of himself on this site. Don’t argue with him.

Run the data. No way there is over 5000 active REGISTERED users.

Joe? any comments? Can we run this stuff to get accurate numbers? Not responding is a yes, in some countries, probably.

It would be interesting to see if the spike in 2012 had anything to do with the smart phone taking over the market place at about that time. I know that is roughly around when i got my first one, using apps and having the internet in your pocket.

It would be interesting to see similar statas on the number of idle/unused accounts...

Idle/unused accounts would be the bulk of the accounts I’m sure.

5,000 active account sounds about right to me. Maybe fewer.

How many are actively adding content? Adding new beers, places, etc.... Less than 1,000? Maybe as few as 500? Less?

From some quick sampling, it looks like 2.7% of the people who registered last year or before have been active in the last 2 months. Not enough data yet to see if retention is better now than it used to be, or worse.

This is accurate. For me, at least.

7 million. And those are active users, not registered accounts. Ratebeer likely has fewer than 10k active users.

Quite honestly. I came here as a BeerAdvocate refugee. I joined BeerAdvocate because I used to check their ratings back in the old days, like 2009, before I had a smartphone. If not for that, I might have joined untapped and never noticed this place.

Why no love for the class of 2001?
