Great. I’m very excited to hear that.
This is the list of premium members - not always admins, though! - willing to take a part of the work (if I am any good at reading between the lines) and having the expertise. They at least said that a splitting up of their/that country "can be done" or "it wouldn’t take very long".

Belgium = tderoeck or solidfunk
http://www.ratebeer.com/sendmessage/101220/ or http://www.ratebeer.com/sendmessage/128160/

Denmark = HenrikSoegaard

The Netherlands = Benzai

Poland = Radek Kliber
http://www.ratebeer.com/sendmessage/606/

Spain = Lowenbrau
http://www.ratebeer.com/sendmessage/37316/

Scotland = GlasgowTAD
http://www.ratebeer.com/sendmessage/292309/

(Japan = KansaiBeerLvrs ? )

I don’t what to impose this work onto these RB members, but if they have the time these guys are the perfect men in place.

(edit: Lowenbrau added to the list)

Definitely can be done, but as you already mentioned I’m not an Admin so I will have to be told an tought as to where and how I can be of any help. Up for it though, just say when.

+1.
As Benzai says, we will need clear instructions on how to proceed with this.

^ what he said. Scotland could be divided into many parts (from the many administrative areas to the lesser whisky regions) so its pretty flexible in that regard.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subdivisions_of_Scotland#

This would be a good base to start with; a lot of the central belt regions could be amalgamated into one super-area.

The question of using swedish län (official provinces/regions) or landskap (historical provinces /regions) is not that simple. I some parts, people associate themselves more with the historical regions, while this is not the case in northern Sweden and in Stockholm and Göteborg, the two latter cities being divided by two landskap.

I would definitely vote for län, partly because I live in Göteborg and have no feeling of being part of any landskap, and partly because I think official administrative regions are more proper.

To me it is out of the question to use anything but official subdivisions.

The lack of public knowledge of these, and/or the ongoing rework is an argument not to subdivide any Scandinavian country.

Regarding Spain, the split coud be done into 17 "comunidades autónomas" (autonomous communities", wich are the first administrative subdivision after the national administration. There are 50 provinces, grouped within the communities, but i think the first 17 are more than ok.

Id say definitely stick official
Otherwise it comes down to an endless argument.
