SilkTork	3.3 Blue Monkey Cinder Toffee April 2024. Bright bottle filled by LCB. A smooth, flavoursome, sweet, commercial, tasty little stout. A proper sipping beer (a little too sweet, greasy, and flavoured for quick drinking - I'd get nauseous). I like this. Not something I'd like to have too often, or too much in one session, but as a winter evening beer, to sit in a corner of a pub by the open log fire, would be good. [3.3] Thursday, April 25, 2024
dragnet101	3.3 Blue Monkey Cinder Toffee 330ml panda from LCB. Poursa black with small beige to tanned head. Aroma of dark malts, sweet crunchie bar, toffee. Taste of roasted malts, sweet toffee, chocolate, burnt honeycomb. Medium+ bodied, sticky, low carbonation, roasty bitterness. Sweet, rich and bitter. Maybe too rich although the flavours are good. imdownthepub	3.7 Blue Monkey Cinder Toffee Cask conditioned at the Bottle & Stoat, Southampton, Hants. Black with beige head. This proved to be quite a rich beer, dark roasted malts carrying a sweet toffee, charry flavour. The burnt flavours linger through the beer but also sweet and full. Very pleasant. Taste is quite roasty with somewhere between charred wood and coffee, hint of blackcurrant, liquorice, pepper. Enough sweetness to balance. Mid bodied, quite drying. Very good stout. Martinsh	4.4 Blue Monkey Guerrilla Cask at Creaky Floorboard, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy tan head and good lacing. The aroma has roasted malts and oats plus hints of lactose. In the mouth it is rich, smooth and creamy. Flavour to start is roasted malts, chocolate and treacle.
