3.9 Wingman Pain Killer 16 oz. Aroma is strong in coconut; there's also citrus, alcohol, a quickly disappearing pukey note. Pours hazy golden with a one finger bone-white head that falls pretty quickly into a ring. Taste is lightly sweet, moderately sour (7/10), finishing with a light dry bitterness. All the ingredients come through in flavor, coconut the strongest. Alcohol is hidden extremely well. What a weird beer. I wasn't expecting the tartness--I was expecting a more sweet malty beer. Hard to categorize, but it's pretty tasty. Saturday, July 4, 2020

3 Wingman Porchata Porter Pours a mahogany brown with a big foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and a touch of cinnamon. Smooth but very carbonated giving it a very sweet berry like flavor. The roasted malts and cinnamon are not prominent. Not as good as I had expected. Too sweet for my liking. Thursday, March 26, 2020

0.8 Wingman Porchata Porter Muddy brown with scads of floaties and then really unappealing sediment at the bottom. Sour notes of spoiled milk and cinnamon. Taste is badly off--something went wrong here. Other reviews elsewhere indicate this appears universal. A bad, bad, bad beer. Can from Tavour. Sunday, March 15, 2020

2.8 Wingman / Edge Juicy Pale Lager (JPL) On tap at the Boise BP hazy light bright golden with a thin soapy white head. Light pale malts muted piney hop aromas and flavors, full bodied and smooth with sort of a “big” feel. Lacking the “juicy” tropical hop notes I expected. Basically a double pale lager Friday, November 1, 2019

3.2 Wingman Big Baby Flat Top 500ml bottle, 2015 vintage. Sour roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla flavors as well as still having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with bourbon and oak flavors as well as a distinct sourness reminiscent of the 2015 Goose Island stouts. Let this one sit too long unfortunately and it soured on me. Will try to get a fresher one next time I’m in the area. Tuesday, October 29, 2019

3.7 Wingman Cuke Cucumber Saison Tan-amber, decent head. Nose is cucumber and salt spray, with a touch of grains, and a nice, complementary sour funk. Medium-bodied with a nice sour funky yeast/Brett character that complements the salty cucumber-sour notes. Easy, sweet malting in the background. Enjoyable and refreshing. Friday, August 30, 2019

2.8 Wingman Saros Cycle IPA From a 16 oz can into a stem glass. Pours gold-amber with head and lace. Aroma of grains, minerals. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of grains, wet rag, old hops. Overall, it would be nice if the can gave a production or consume by date, not 03051908 Moonbeam. That gives me no clue and I'm guessing this is old. With a realistic date I could say, oh, old, don't rate. But no, some unclear date of production or best drunk by … this tastes like a broken down IPA. Tuesday, April 23, 2019

3.2 Wingman Space Lake Double IPA 16 oz. can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, some pine, and fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with resinous hops, with some pine, and pithiness. A bit messy, but it’s solid. Wednesday, February 20, 2019

3.4 Wingman P-51 Porter - Peanut Butter Cup Bottle from Slice & Biscuit. Dark brown, no light comes through, small cap of creamy beige head. Sweet aroma, like a cola, remnants of some peanut butter. Taste is also sweet, elements of chocolate and peanut butter. Faint chocolate with a tiny bitter bite at the finish. This gets better as it warms up, more of the porter notes coming out, along with a nice creamy feel. Wednesday, October 24, 2018

3 Wingman Cuke Cucumber Saison Aroma is barley. Palate is mildy creamy smooth. Flavor is sour, hoppy, and slightly unpleasant sweetness of corn. Cucumber and corn sugar seem to dominate. Has a nice tart sourness and Brett funk. This one just has too much sweetness for me as a sour. Saturday, September 29, 2018

3.4 Wingman Noel Bottle:   Muddy brown, deep red hue, dishwater like head, dies quickly, no lacing.   Almost still at this point.   Spicy breadiness, sweet, some caramel and toffee, touch of dark pitted fruit.   Similar on the tongue, semi-sweet, a but dusty like a Belgian but not too strong.   Lacks carbonation.   Bready in a dark sense, with some minor dark pitted fruit.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, soft bready malts, a bit belgian in that dusty sense, with dark pitted fruit lingering.   Nice beer, but really needed more carbonation. 3.3 Wingman Old Plank Pils Can:   Hazy straw, thin foamy white head, little lacing.   Soft spicy straw/hay on the nose.   Musty straw/hay up front, a little shrubby, make that quite a bit shrubby.   Seems a little herbal.   This one is not your standard Pilsner, thats usually simple and crisp, this has a lot of fauna character.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A touch dry as well.   Shrubby and herbal on the finish.   Interesting take on the style.   Not as smooth as others, but interesting. 3.4 Wingman Ace IPA Malty bready aroma with citrusy grapefruit and piney hops. Pours a hazy golden amber with some floaters, creamy small white head.
