Had this at home Wednesday 6th September 2023, sat in the living room with Mum and Keith after another fantastic day, great weather and pleasant stroll around Deggendorf. Pours dark brown edging towards black with an off white head. Nose is roasted malts and dark fruits. Taste following a similar trajectory to the aroma, perhaps with a little liquorice thrown in for good measure. It's a nice beer, simple tangy, straightforward stout. Pleasant stuff. Standard lager aroma with faint caramel notes. Clean and smooth malty lager flavor with faint caramel notes and just a hint of smoke in the finish. Very smooth and clean and easy drinking.
