Russian River Brewing Reviews

Russian River Toronado 25th Anniversary 3.9
Bottle shared by Dan. Huge thanks for a big want. Modest oak aroma in the nose with dried fruit, cherries, light vanilla. Nearly flat, very clear Amber to red color. Taste is initially sour with a moderate vinegar note. A moderate alcohol warming presence but never hot. After I become accommodated to the sourness, the taste is moderately complex and full of dried fruit. Really good.

Biroholik
Russian River IPA 3.4
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Złote, lekko mętne. Dużo mniej aromatyczne i intensywne jak Pliny i Blind Pig. Na uwagę zasługuje bardzo oleista faktura. Dużo ananasa, bardzo dojrzałego mango. Na przeciwległym biegunie nuty sosnowe, żywiczne i ziemistw. Spora słodycz. Pełne ciało. Finisz chmielowy. 6,75% alk. Ok. 15 BLG

Russian River Perdition 3.6
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Bierre De Sonoma 6,1% alk. 14,5 BLG
W tle leciutki cytrus (cytryna, limonka). Z drugiej strony karmel i nuty chlebowe. W smaku przypomina w niektórych aspektach Saisona. Średnio-pełne. Pikantny pieprzowy, przyprawowy finisz. Oleista faktura. Nic wyjątkowego.

Biroholik
Russian River Blind Pig IPA 4.5
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
W smaku i aromacie BARDZO podobne do Pliny The Elder, tylko nieco lżejsze. Ogromnie aromatyczne, intensywnie owocowe, cytrusowe, żywiczne, tropikalne. Fenomenalna piana i książkowy, wzorowy lacing. Fenomenalne IPA! 6,25% alk. 14,5 BLG.

Russian River Propitiation 4.2
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Następnie został z nich przelany i nagazowany. Minimum kawy i kwaśny, szlachetny finisz. Cholernie przyjemny trunek! 7% alk. 14 BLG

Russian River OVL Stout 3.8
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Ogromna kremowa piana. Oleista, potężna zwarta tekstura. W smaku i zapachu dominuje bardzo intensywna kawa z mlekiem. Prócz tego orzeszki ziemne, lekka mleczność, laktoza. Paloność idealnie współgra z czekoladą. Lekko ściągający finisz. Dobry trunek, nic poza tym.

Russian River Blind Pig IPA 3.5
You know, sometimes expectations is no good for you? Aroma is sweeter malts, light bread notes and hops with a resinous touch. Taste is pretty solid maltjuice with pine, citrus and resin. I got an almost soapy touch in the aftertaste? Just bordering soapy, but never really tripping over. Solid bitterness.

Russian River Pliny the Elder 5
Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Chmiele: Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, Cascade, Warrior, Simcoe
W smaku ogromnie czysty cytrusowo-tropikalny profil. Goryczka średniej siły, bardzo krótka, znika przed kolejnym łykiem. Oleista faktura i potężna pijalność! Perfekcyjny balans słodów i chmielu.

W aromacie grejpfrut i gorzka pomarańcza. Piana wysoka, biała, bujna. Umiarkowana faktura. Nisko alkoholowe. Lekkie, przyjemne grejprutowe Ale.

10/10 would beer again, incredible sour ale, sweet banana and sour cherry notes against a sour and slightly puckering strong wild yeasty flavor in back, the smell alone is enough.

Can’t believe I somehow missed rating this. Bottle 4 weeks old. Clear gold, with heavy lacing. Nose is juicy grapefruit pith, some honey when it warms, light greeness and pine. Taste is dry on firm malt backbone, with long bitter grapefruit pith finish. The archetype for a reason.

Bottle from De Laurenti, Seattle, 12.99$
Blond-golden color, clean, with small head. Very nice aroma, very close to a Lambic, less strong; funky yeast, moldy cellar walls. Dry and smooth mouthfeel; again a lot of yeast character, bitter grapefruit, and some astringency in the final; more fruity than most Gueuze, a bit like a young unblended Lambic.
Excellent beer. Still, in Belgium they can brew beer with more depth at a fraction of the price, hence I give one point less.

Russian River Hop 2 It (Azacca) 3.8
Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy onion like hoppiness and then kind of floral herbal kind of grassy hoppiness. The taste delivers bitter grassy herbal hops with mild floral hoppiness around the edges. Toward midway an additional citrusy slightly tropical note murmurs to the surface. Pretty nice.

Hazy light golden pour with a big frothy white head. Really nice nose on this: Pineapple and grape and a hint of straw. Taste is ok. Dry, bitter, slightly funky. Bottle was several months old. Would be interesting to try the beer fresh when the hops can play around some.
