Russian River Pliny the Younger 4.3
Keg @ Russian River. Slightly hazy deep gold pour with a small white head. Really juicy, assertive nose. Plenty of orange meat, some tangerine and a bit of sea grass. Accents of pine. Sweet malt. Flavor is moderately sweet with a strong bitter finish. Lemon pith. Orange peel. Nice and dry. Somewhat resinous. Very drinkable and surprisingly balanced. Warm finish. A touch oily. This is pretty stellar stuff indeed.

Russian River Pliny the Younger 4.2
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear orange-gold with a slender, frothy white head. The nose has a lot of piney hops, pale bread, tangerine, light grass. Medium sweet flavor with some juicy melon, tangerine, light piney bitterness, peach, alcohol. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, lightly resinous, with lots of juicy citrus fruits, tangerine, some grapefruit, nips of boosty alcohol, orange, mango, mellow bitter grass and citrus rind. Well, itís very good, and very drinkable, but there are more expressive íimperialí IPAs out there nowadays. Still, I can appreciate that this is juicy and drinkable stuff.

Russian River Pliny the Younger 4.4
Draught at Russian River. Clear deep golden liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of tangerine, citrus, mango, pine, pineapple, light grain, light sweet malt and lychee. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of citrus, tangerine, light grain, pineapple and pine. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very drinkable for the ABV. Great beer and worth waiting in line for. I have to say though, I prefer Elder as it is more drinkable and less malty. Still, a memory of a lifetime.

Russian River Pliny the Younger 4.8
Draft at source. After waiting in line for 11 hours i finally get it! Nose is huge with orange citrus and zest. Plain juicy in the aroma. Pours fairly clear with a small white head. Taste is initially quite bitter with citrus rind. Juicy citrus hop flavor follows at an amazingly intense orange and grapefruit. I didnít think "old" American C hops could be this juicy and good. No sign of alcohol in the flavor but a light warming in the ears. Could just be sleep deprivation from camping in line over night. A truly great beer!

Russian River Pliny the Younger 5
Little variation?s each year, but for 2016 the super aroma is back! Less of the typical DIPA bite this year, so its real easy on the palate which I appreciate. The belch has great danky aroma in case you missed it the first time down. Great balance. Perfection. Shines with a golden Aura that this beer really is magical!

Russian River Beatification (Batch 002 +) 4.3
Lots of grapefruit on the nose, and one of the best american wild ales. Not overly tart, but a little less going on than Supplication, IMO. A wonderful trat that I would love to drink again!

Russian River Pliny the Elder 5
Iíd say this is a nostalgic beer for me and thatís why the rating is so high, but itís way more about the beer. Itís got the hoppy start and a very tasty finish. Youíd expect more bitterness given the happiness but it is very smooth on the back end.

Prufrockstar
Russian River Framboise for a Cure 2013- 4.1
2014 bottle thanks to Bacterial from a trade close to a year ago. When I opened the box the first thing my pregnant wife said to me was "save that one for me." So I did, and tonight (well, Friday night) was the night. Happened to have it alongside a 2015 bottle which was fun. I was fully expecting the "all hopped up" character to have faded and this to be missing something, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was the opposite. 2015 was brilliant, red clear. Smelled like raspberry jam, more sweet than tart; tasted almost artificial, and reminded me about what I donít really like in some of these fruited sours. The 2014, on the other hand, was really lovely. Raspberry jam was still there in the nose, but with a full, deep, lovely wild funk to back it up. Sweetness restrained, nice tart, oaky, leathery backing. By far preferred the 2014 treatment [4.1] to the 2015 treatment [3.7]. Iím rating this with the 4.1 because Iím generous like that.
