StuffWine	1.9 Emu Bitter Poured a clear amber with good sized dense fluffy white head, unexpectedly pretty. Aroma is light sour grain and dish soap. Taste is the same but with additional of wet brown cardboard, with flavours ramping to bitterness. Light body, slight oily mouthfeel, moderate finish length. Aroma is smoke, some dried fruits, liquorice, coffee and mild Madeira sweetness. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, liquorice, roasted tones with some mild alcohol as well as some Madeira sweetness to it. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, liquorice, toffee, bread. Moderate sweetness and medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, creamy sticky mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Rich, nutty finish. Black colour with reddish tinge, biege foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of rich malt, roasty, molasses, dark fruits, chocolate, coffee. Taste is sweetish, chocolatey, malt, roasted, coffee, dark fruity, earthy with nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying earthy roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable. Nose and taste is largely malt derived with burnt toffee, chocolate, dark berries, and faint coffee notes. Finishes dryish with a mild hop bitterness. Medium body, lively carbonation. Heard about this one years ago but the chance to drink it came at the International Brewery Competition at Burton in November 2021. It was worth the long wait. A new brewery as well for me. KeefOz	1.9 Southwark (AU) Bitter Draught at Westland Hotel, Whyalla, SA. Poured a crystal clear dark amber with 5mm of bright white open foam that quickly diminished to a blotchy cap that laced OK. Carbonation high, lively and medium to coarse. Aroma of stewed vegetables; no obvious hops. Taste is slightly sweet; no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth, crisp and clean with a short finish. KeefOz	3.9 Southwark (AU) Old Stout Draught at Streaky Bay Community Hotel, SA. Poured an opaque black (with a mahogany dot under strong light) with 5mm of tan dense foam that retained very well and laced well. Aroma slightly of sweet dark chocolate and slightly roasted notes; alcohol well hidden. Taste is strongly roasted and sweet milk chocolate with hints of vanilla and coffee; alcohol well hidden. Medium body. Smooth and slightly creamy, crisp and clean with a medium-length finish. (18/6/21) Friday, June 25, 2021

NreeK	0.5 West End Draught One of the 1st beers I tried as a legal drinker when living in Adelaide [my first taste of beer was somewhere between 5 and 8.... green death]. West End Draught is a beer you can slam down fast and puke through your nose a few hours later and it tastes about the same. It's terrible. DarkElf	4.2 Southwark (AU) Old Stout 08-Feb-12 (375-ml sample bottle: Free bottle for stewarding the 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA) Wow, has this stout aged nicely over the past four years! It's totally delicious! Pouring black as a moonless night with a thin blanket of dark-tan head that settles to a wide ring, the beer boasts aromas dark chocolate, molasses, tar, toast, coffee, smoked meat, and soy sauce. As enticing as it smells, it tastes even better, with flavors of licorice, chocolate bar, sweetened coffee, burnt toast, ashtray, cola, blackstrap molasses, and prunes. It's full bodied but not heavy, medium in carbonation but still very smooth, and dry enough to perfectly balance the sweetness, so this sweet stout is exceptionally easy to drink. Overall, this is really stupendous, the perfect "foreign stout". In many ways, it reminds me of the Old Australia Stout (brewed by the same people), which I haven't seen for over a decade, but used to be one of my absolute favorites back in the 90's. BeerLiquids40	3.5 Emu Export I put tin roofs on in Aussie summers for 30 years and ice cold export is the number 1 beer in the world in those conditions. Eazy to drink, immediately refreshing and no slimey after effect as happens with VB. However export is unavailable as draft beer so Swan draught or VB next preference. I am also a fan of great Northern original or crisp. Great Northern taking over in Northern Australia. Buy shares it will be huge Monday, February 18, 2019
