hauxe	2.8 Marston's Old Empire (Bottle) Gold with a frothy head of modest duration. Aroma a mix of grains, dough and peppercorn. Taste is bitter throughout. Medium-bodied, very dry, with a touch of spice at the end. Ok, and traditional too, but the pervading dry bitterness keeps it from ever feeling refreshing. Thursday, March 21, 2024

Theydon_Bois	3.6 Ansells Silver Jubilee Strong Ale Bottle at GBBF '23, day 2 thanks to a Danny rot box raffle, 02/08/23. Chestnut brown with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is woody, oxidised, malt forward, toffee, vinous, soy sauce. Taste comprises fruit cake, dates, brown bread, toffee, herb, dried fruit esters. Medium plus bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. This has aged very well compared to other knackered examples from this era. Tuesday, August 22, 2023

Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Toffee caramel malts, a little thin cream. Rich ripe fruits, marmalade and raisan. A little spice. Light and semi dry finish. biilz	3.8 Marston's Pedigree (Filtered) Аромат не сильный но очень классический для стиля. Много солода, немного травы с намеками на карамель, чутка нотки бочки и сливы со специями. Цвет темно карамельный, пенки почти нет. Вкус очень питкий, даже местами немного водянистый. Но все же очень сбалансированный, на месте и горечь от хмеля с ноткой трав и карамель с намеками на мед в послевкусие а также немного специй как будто. В целом мне зашло.
