Pours cloudy and gold. Mild passion fruit and a lingering, potent tartness. Tried at the Ballard Beer Company with Al, Win, and Josh in 2016.

Rating #1976 2015.09.26 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 3, Beer 77 Draught at Taphouse Grill. Nice amber/orange colour with a dcent white/tan foam with medium retention. Aroma is sweet, toffee malt,. Taste is very strong, caramel malt and a hint of toffee/spiced pudding. Bold malt forward amber that is quite drinkable.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of stone fruits, especially oranges, followed by tropical fruity hops and medium funk. Flavour is very fruity and funky, with lots of tropical fruitiness, stone fruits, oranges, and aggressive brett funk. Complex, with a lovely balance of stone fruits and brett. Excellent.

375mL capped bottle. About 18 months old in bottle. When this was fresh I did not enjoy, had it when notalush rated it. This bottle is much nicer. Its really just a bretty, funky beer. Medium sized head, golden beer. Aroma is like a cleaner herbal brett. Flavor has a bitter flavor, also I think its from the yeast. It doesn’t see, like a 7.3 brett beer. Its nice strong herbal brett beer. Not craxy good like I want but I enjoy it.

Cloudy blond color with no head. Like the name says, expect a lot of passion fruit; the aroma is fruity and floral; the mouthfeel is sweetish, with some pale malt flavor, and low bitterness.
Refreshing, very nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of tropical fruit and grass with some sweet grains underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and grass with some light tropical fruits and flora supporting.

375mL bottle from Pizza Port bottle shop. Pours amber with small dense white foam. No Brettanomyces in the aroma. Maybe some melanoidins or diacetyl or something. Taste has a light back of throat lactic sourness, plus a little slickness on the tongue. No bitterness, no hop aroma. This beer is pretty yucky. Drain poured it.

Shared 12.68 oz. bottle, poured to my snifter showing a hazed, golden hue, with quickly diminishing, white head foam to a thin ring, and light dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was a mixture of esters that were both lively as pineapple & tropical fruit, and also ripened, along with some yeastiness, and syrupy sweetness. The brett was more evident in the taste, with very spritzy effervescence, high carbonation, and a light+ body. Modestly tart, with bitterness that was earthy & peppery, and dryness to the finish. Enjoyable example of the style.

Cool funky nose with definitely a ton of passion fruit, pretty much all I get except some soft Brett funk and generic Belgian yeast. Golden pour thin head, kind of still looking. Flavors of pretty solid passion fruit, Brett funk, Belgian yeast, soft bready malt sweetness, more Belgian yeast and a good deal of funk and lingering passion fruit in the finish. Not sour but funky, cool fruit aspect. Well done.

Draft 12 oz pour at the Collective. Rating from notes. Advertised as passion fruit, but I get a massive amount of grapefruit. Maybe my experience with passion fruit is much less than it is for grapefruit. It is. Clear golden pour with a thin oily head. Sweet grapefruit and other fruity citrus. Not too sour. Sourness 5/10. Very fun beer to try.

Bottle. Pours very clear golden, medium white head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is very light overall, hints of dust, brett and fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, light funk, Brett notes, hints of fruit, but nondeScript as to type. Hint of tartness. Light body. Easy to drink, but not a lot really going on here.

Bottle shared by Leighton at the hotel over RBWG - thanks again, Leighton! Pours a cloudy deep gold with a fizzy off-white head that settles into a lasting film. A little bit of a gusher. Notes of grape must, caramel, earth, leaves, and funk. Medium-bodied, with initially high carbonation that mellows out into more modest carbonation, and a tangy, funky mouthfeel. Interesting beer.

It’s like the brett didn’t get enough sugar to really spread it’s arms. It’s definitely brett but a bit too slick, not funky enough and kicking off some light citrus oil. I like it but it’s definitely just my brett love, the beer is to petite.

Straight up what this beer is meant to be. Lightly fumey, light chocolate, dry finish, slightly charred and dry. The peat smoke isn’t really noticeable but rounds out the other porter elements. Definitely better than most faux smoked porters.

On tap at Big Al, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of juicy passionfruit along with some wild yeasts. Flavour is much the same, with passionfruit and wild yeast vying for the centre of the palate. Lovely blend and high drinkability, not least of which due to the passionfruit. Very good.
