Castle Eden Ale

Brewer: CEB (Castle Eden Brewery)
Style: Bitter - Ordinary / Best
Alcohol Content: 4.2%
Seasonal: No

Description:
Cask; Occasional. Latterly the brand was under the ownership of AB InBev and brewed under contract at Camerons. Axed by AN InBev in 2009 but reappeared as a Camerons seasonal "guest ale" for March to May 2013. Apparently now under the ownership of a company called Limelight Brands Limited, which has a link with Camerons through a common director. It’s back! A North East classic now available as a guest ale throughout March and April via Camerons Brewery. Castle Eden Ale is a light, creamy golden ale with a late addition of Styrian Goldings hops giving it an interesting contrast between an initial sweet surge of flavour followed by a slightly bitter aftertaste. See: Golden Smell: Honey, Molasses Taste: Sweet, Rich Hops: Target, Stryian Goldings Malt: Pale Ale Note: Brewed at Cameron's and then at Seaham again at some point.
