In 2011 Russell Brewing proudly preseted the first annual Golden Stag Home Brewing award in partnership with the Vancouver Homebrewing Association. The top homebrewer won the unique opportunity to brew and package their recipe at a professional brewery.
Introducing Rick August’s - Russian Imperial Stout Grand Prize Winner 2011 Golden Stag Home Brewing Contest. This is truly a limited-edition single-batch beer made with Nick August’s actual homebrew recipe. Over 10 types of malts 2 types of hops, a special yeast strain, Juniper berries licorice root and heaps of extra-special love was used to brew this beer. It’s super dark and super good.
