Description:
(Spanish: “Dream of Los Angeles”) An experimental beer – based on a recipe from a dream the night before brewday – made for 2012 LA Beer Week using the chosen ingredient of prickly pear. This hazy, ruby-peach colored beer is brewed with a copious amounts of wheat, maize, & honey malt, and an unusually large amount of acidualated (sour) malt. During fermentation the beer is drowned with lots of prickly pear puree which contributes an underlying spicy tartness.
