Description:
There are two kinds of authentic Altbier- "Northern" and "Dusseldorf". These German brews are the original Ales of their regions and broadly speaking are bronze and bitter and reflect the "old" (Alt!) manners of brewing and lagering. Our Altbier enjoys aspects of both styles without being specific to one or the other and a touch more Spalt aroma hop than perhaps the style has usually offered. Drinking at 4.8% its a good candidate for pondering why there aren’t more Altbiers out there.
