Description:
As a Bière de Garde, Acadie offers the style’s prominent malty aroma. A freshly poured beer is highly carbonated and bronze colored with a nice, thick off-white head. Malty with an underlying caramel sweetness, Acadie finishes medium-dry. The restrained use of continental hops provides its balanced hop bitterness. Acadie offers the smooth roundness of an artisanal farmhouse ale, thus this French style beer is terrific paired with most any cuisine. It wonderfully harmonizes, and has the uncanny ability to bring a tableful of contrasting flavors together – think platters of pickled okra and freshly-sliced tomatoes, hand-crafted goat cheeses, a sliced baguette, a nice hogshead cheese and cutting board layered with sliced tasso and andouille. Acadie brings diverse flavors together for an unforgettable meal.
Acadie is brewed year round and approaches 6% ABV, with an IBU of 20. The original gravity of this French artisanal ale is 1.065, with a final gravity at 1.016. The restrained use of elegant Strisselspalt and Saaz hops offer a perfectly balanced bitterness with a very discreet hop aroma.
